"I made an appointment here after reading some of the other great reviews and was hopeful to have found a dentist close to my new house that I could go to for years to come. The front office staff was very welcoming, and I received a tour of the facility as a new patient before being sat in a treatment room. After 45 minutes of waiting, someone finally came to do x-rays. After another 10 minutes, Dr. Asher came to do a quick exam. She said that they would put together a treatment plan of different cleanings based on the examination and they would let me know the cost. More waiting. Then, someone else came to review how much everything would be. While I appreciated the transparency about costs, at this point, I had been there for two hours and the cleaning hadn't even started yet! They said they could "squeeze me in" that day for a cleaning, but I was never informed that wasn't what my appointment was for?? They also wanted me to pay hundreds of dollars for the cleaning up front, and then my insurance would reimburse me? Not falling for that one. I have been a new patient at other dentists in the Metro Atlanta area before, and a new patient visit took maybe an hour and a half- x-rays and cleanings included. Needless to say, I left before the cleaning and won't be going back. Everyone was very friendly, but I am not paying for things out of pocket when that is what insurance is for, and I don't have hours for a dentist appointment."

"Relief Dental came in the clutch for me yesterday! I had an appointment and it got canceled upon arrival. Due to the immense pain I was in, I googled the closest dentist and they told me to come right away. I was in the chair, paid up and done within an hour. They have an easy finance system that allows you to pay the balance back overtime and the nurses and staff are all amazing. Dr. Washington though! He was stellar. He came in, did a quick exam of my tooth, covered my options again and we went forward. He explained everything very thoroughly and took his time. He numbed me so well, I couldn’t feel my nose for a couple hours. When the tooth came out, it barely bled and after a couple salt water rinses, I’m almost back to normal and it hasn’t been 24 hours yet. Thank you so much to the Relief dental team!"

"The medical staff was very helpful and nice. The front office staff not so much. The front desk asked for my insurance card a few days before I came in and when I did send it they did not tell me that I was out of network. I should have of course looked up that information on my own. The front desk came to the back of the room after I have did many x-rays and said “your insurance requires for you to pay out of pocket and then they will send you a check.” I thought to myself that sounded odd but I said okay. I thought about it and then called her back and asked are you saying I am out of network and she said yes. I then asked that I just pay for what I did today and be able to go. The doctor tried to convince me that my insurance would reimburse me for any treatment I do but I knew I would be out a lot of money. I ended up paying nearly $400 for preventive care treatment (only x-rays) with my insurance that is usually 100% covered all because they did not want to disclose I was out of network. I only was reimbursed $90 dollars of the amount I paid and I’m happy I was not convicted to continue treatment because the whole time the doctor was out of network and the insurance company was having a hard time even processing my claims with them."
