"I came here for a first class FAA medical. Dr. Lyles and his staff were very professional and friendly. There was no long wait. I was taken care of promptly upon my arrival. I highly recommend getting your medical here."
""Doctors" like Johnnie Lyles are the reason it's hard to have confidence in the US healthcare system. I can say with confidence that you are better off going to any other doctor, even if it means waiting longer for an appointment. The nurse who took vitals and bloodwork is more compassionate, professional and skilled than Dr. Lyles was by far. I booked an appointment to get a checkup because it's been a few years and I finally built up the courage to start taking my health more seriously and make regular checkups more of a priority. That said, the nurse who did all the work was kind, asked questions about why I came in, if anything was feeling off and was even personable. After about 30 minutes with the nurse she left and let me know that Dr. Lyles would be with me shortly. He came it 10 minutes later and the best I way can describe the experience is having a paid actor come in the room and pretend to look in my ears, touch a stethoscope to various parts of my back and chest (when I say touch I am not exaggerating as it was long enough to go through the motions of what a doctor might do, but not long enough to learn anything). He had me each knee twice, touch my toes and then said "everything is looking fine and you are good to go" and proceeded to herd me out of the office as quickly as he could. The whole experience with him couldn't have lasted more than a minute and a half. I stood at the check-in desk for another minute after that mostly just confused about what just happened but also kind of expecting someone to come book a follow up appointment or have me pay the office fee but he just came back around the corner and said I was good to leave. Probably the best and most telling part of this whole experience is that Mr. Lyles was wearing socks and Duke university slides. Don't get me wrong, I am a remote worker and understand workplace comfort, but MAYBE save the slides for the tele-health calls my guy. I'll find another doctor."
"If you need an aviation medical done, go elsewhere. I went last month for my 6-month aviation physical which this time included an EKG. The EKG came back abnormal and instead of taking another EKG or asking for a second opinion, the aviation medical examiner submitted the abnormal report to the FAA which opened a can of worms. Thanks to Dr. Lyles, I am now grounded from my professional flying career, waiting for the FAA to get their act together. Estimated wait time 3+ months. I just finished seeing a very good cardiologist who performed another EKG, which the results came back normal. I'd leave negative stars if I could. I will never be going to this facility ever again and I recommend you avoid it at all costs if you need an aviation physical."
"I have been a patient at CareFirst since early 2020. I visit here two times a month and even though I now have insurance that unfortunately is out of network, I choose to keep my care coordinated with Dr. Lyles and staff. I came in one day for a bi-weekly appointment and it was noticed that I had a large bandage on my arm. I had informed doc what had happened just a few nights earlier and he fixed me up and made sure that my risk of infection was minimal when I walked out the door. He did it just because he cared enough to do so. I wasn't charged for anything extracurricular. Bonnie is super sweet and always a pleasure to interact with. I have to give her credit for being very skilled at giving shots with large needles. She is heaven-sent in that regard due to her gentle touch. The office has always worked with me if there have been scheduling issues and when I was out of state for an extended period in 2021, they made sure that I was taken care of and did not have to worry about anything. I moved an hour away and still make the drive even though I do not live in Charlotte anymore"
"Highly recommend CareFirst! I needed to have a medical exam and the friendly staff was able to set up an appointment the same day. After experiencing the top notch service and care from Dr. Lyles and his staff, I switched and made them my Primary Care provider. Additionally, they have other spa services in office. It was a great experience getting everything done at one visit."
