"My partner and I travel for mural work, and we’re always on the lookout for great local food. Preachers Smokehouse exceeded expectations in every way. The service was impeccable (the owner was incredibly kind— he gave us a sample of the ribs and bruinswick stew, and both were incredible). We ended up getting the Hog Trough with pork and a burnt ends sandwich. Their burnt ends are sweet, and just phenomenal. There wasn’t a bad thing on the menu, and we can’t wait to return and try the rest of the menu. They sell their hot sauces (all were delicious) and we ended up taking home their traditional hot sauce. The prices are fantastic (the sandwiches were 6-8 dollar each) and everything was top notch. Don’t let this one slip by you if you’re in the area— 11/10, would and will absolutely recommend to everyone."

"Oh my goodness!!!! Yes yes yes!!!!! Some of the best bar b que I have eaten in a while!! We were served by Preacher!!! The man that does the cooking! Holy smokes great food great service and a nice quiet place to eat. So glad Kathy at Shine Girl told us about this place. Daughter had the brisket sandwich, husband had the three meat combo and I had the burnt ends. You will not go wrong here!!! Sorry we didn't take pics before we started eating..."

"Due to the high reviews I really wanted to like this spot and even went out of my way to visit. Food was brought out a minute after ordering and burnt ends were lukewarm and chewy. Pulled pork was moist but more bland. Baked beans tasted more like from the can and hush puppies were average. No bathrooms on site. Indoor and outdoor seating. Service was very friendly and pro Jesus which is great. But pass if you want fantastic BBQ. $17 for two meat platter with two sides and a drink."
