"I have dined all over the world, and this place was an *exceptional* combination of flavor, presentation, and service. Our table shared the trout caviar, pork belly, the burger, fried chicken, apple cobbler, and goat cheese cheesecake. Every single dish was over the top incredible, and Matt, our server, was the best part. He was attentive without overbearing, intuitively suggestive, and so professional. I was genuinely shocked at what a delight this place is. Incredible food and service, not to be missed if you're anywhere in the vicinity."
"We dined in at The Appalachian on January 7, 2024 to celebrate a birthday and our experience was TOP TIER. The staff was amazing and attentive to our needs. The manager came to our table and introduced himself along with a few other staff members. The food was delicious and very fresh. The cocktails were made just right! We ordered a few appetizers which were: chicken skins, buffalo frog legs, regular fried frog legs, and pork belly, and they were ALL GREAT (highly recommend). I had the hanger steak, medium well and it was delicious/tender. The shrimps and grits were good. The filet mignon was devine. The duck breast wasn’t what my friend expected, so they replaced it with the fried chicken and it was hot & fresh and seasoned good. The greens were different and tangy, but the cornbread was great; you can taste the buttermilk. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT! 9/10"
"My sisters and I had a night out at The Appalachian and we were blown away. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, uncluttered, and intimate. Our server, Zack, was perfect, friendly, and helpful. Every bite of food was heaven. If you want an elevated dining experience with fresh food, this is your place. Pictured is the pork tenderloin, hanger steak, and apple cobbler."
"If I could give this place 10 stars, believe me, I would. Our server Sarah was the best, super friendly, knew the menu, and was just adorable. The food was phenomenal, my bf’s fried chicken was DELICIOUS LIKE EXTREMELY DELICIOUS. Full of flavor, crispy, and filling. I had the fish and it was sooo good too. My favorite was the cheesecake, mind-blowing, it’s the best cheesecake I’ve had in my entire life. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND, worth every penny. Thank you, Sarah, and all the amazing staff."
"One of the best restaurants I have been to in the US. Excellent food, service and atmosphere. I like the fact that they use local produce, which ensured quality, fresh dishes. The meat in the dishes blended well with the other ingredients. Hanger Steak was cooked to medium-rare perfection. The Duck dish which my husband ordered was very good. The frog legs were so yummy with the sauce, with just the right amount of kick/spice. The cornbread is salty good. The butternut hummus tasted “light and clean” but i found the bread over toasted (charred and hard). I super liked the goat cheesecake and the red sangria. Food is pricey but very reasonable considering the quality. We shall surely be back to taste the other dishes and we are confident that we won’t be disappointed."
