"I visited the Botanical Gardens while visiting the area. We went to check out the lights. It was something fun to do. While we did enjoy it I will say it was a bit confusing. No map is provided and you aren't given any direction as to where to go. It's also quite dark and hard to see the walkways at times. Everything looks great and the staff we did encounter were very nice. But it would have been nice if there were dim lights along the path to see where you're going. Beautiful lights and plenty to look at. There's also a stand with hot chocolate and other drinks towards the back and you can sit by a fire pit to warm up. Another issue we had is getting to the main entrance. Our GPS brought us to the back entrance for deliveries only and we had to figure out how to get to the front. There is no signage pointing the way and from the road the main entrance is a ways away. If you go to the back enteance, go back out go the road and tien right, you'll get there down the road. Other than that we did enjoy."
"I attended a private event held by my employer, so I cannot comment on purchasing tickets in advance or wait times. The gardens were beautifully lit at night, and the light show set to music was nice."
"Absolutely fantastic! Went for the summer lights show for my wife and I's 2 year anniversary. It was absolutely breathtaking. We spent almost the full 2 hours exploring. We made sure we to not miss anything! The music and animated lights were an amazing touch. Can't wait to return for more fun events. Next up is the summer concert!"
"It was our last night in Belmont and the gardens were only 1.5 miles from the house we rented. When researching the area I read in the month of July & August on weekends they opened the gardens up at night for Summer Lights. It was a great night being able to see the beauty of the flowers and plants before the sun went down but in cooler weather. Once the sun was down, the lights were pretty and a great way to end our vacation."
"A wonderful garden west of Charlotte with a wide variety of plants, it’s sprawling and needs some time to roam through. The butterfly enclosure was amazing with different kinds of butterflies and information about them. It can get pretty hot here on a hot day. Parking is available, and the staff is polite and kind. Overall, it’s a great place to visit if you’re a plant nerd. They’re closed on Mondays and Tuesdays."
