Reviews
"Definitely a bar for ratchet college kids, which can be fun every once in a while, but creates a pretty toxic environment and clientele - I don't generally recommend it. The floor and furniture is always sticky, the drinks are pricey, and the service is mediocre."
"Do not recommend this place as it can be a luck of a draw when it comes to your experience. Recently, I had an experience where I felt unsafe by a few of the bouncers who work here by their lack of actions and respect. Some of the bouncers are great and do their job and are very helpful. I just happened to encounter some that weren't. I believe there are people in this building who are very discriminatory towards race and/or sexuality. For these reasons, I will no longer come to this place moving forward."
"Avoid this place if you’re a part of the LGBT community! My friends and I visited on a Saturday night, and we were all allowed inside the bar except for one of us. My friend who was denied entry is a masculine presenting person who was dressed in feminine clothing. The security guard said they weren’t allowed in because their shirt had no sleeves, despite the fact that I and 2 of my other friends were wearing strappy dresses also with no sleeves. It was clear there is discrimination in how the security chooses to enforce the so-called dress code here, and according to other reviews, my friend is not the only person this has happened to. I also want to note that the owner has responded to another similar review by saying that this dress code applies to all other clubs on Glenwood, yet milkbar is the only place that did not let us enter. Will never return here and would recommend others to do the same. Blatant discrimination has no place in 2023!"
"Do not come here if LGBT. Went in a group of 6 and they refused to let in one of my friends because they didn’t have sleeves. Three of us who are female presenting had already walked in without any. As soon as my friend trying to get in (male presenting) they were told they violated the dress code. We had no such problem at any other place on Glenwood. This dress code is a way for them to discriminate against who they choose and based on other reviews they use for racist purposes as well. Do not go here."
"I had an amazing night yesterday. They had the hockey watch party going on in the street and my two favorite bartenders Cam and Chelsea were there holding it down at milk bar making sure everybody was getting served and having a great time. These two are great under pressure they make a good duo for sure. Shout out to Rowe and Xavier for not only making sure people are staying out of trouble but also stepping in and assisting the bartenders when needed. I can honestly say that my night couldn’t have gone any better. I will definitely keep coming back here and telling my friends and family all about it. Because in my opinion it is the best social bar on Glenwood. Great drinks, great music, great staff, friendly environment what more can you ask for? -Braulio (240)"
