"Enjoyed seeing Dan Tyminski and his band here. Theatre was very clean and the staff was friendly. Bathrooms were clean. Will return."
"Love the ambiance of the theater and the show with the Irish music Will definitely be back for more entertainment"
"Was staying in Banner Elk, came to Boone to check out the local scene and came across a poster for this place. What better way to prepare for Halloween than an evening of murder ballads! Great venue, sound was pretty good."
"Beautiful venue, clean and well decorated, great lighting and sound system. Exceptionally courteous and friendly staff. Convenient on-street parking and the main floor of the theatre are all on the same level. Easy access for anyone with wheelchairs, crutches, canes, scooters, or walkers. Spacious seating on the main floor level as well as in the balcony. Clean, well lit restrooms are convenient and close. Handicapped and disabled seating are available and well situated. Great theater for movies as well as for live music acts. I wholeheartedly recommend 'Appalachian Theater' on King Street in the center of beautiful downtown Boone, North Carolina."
"Beautifully maintained old 30s movie theater in the heart of downtown Boone, NC. We attended the 2nd annual Boone Docs, presenting a dozen short documentary films. Each was a treasure of information, well-done creations covering a wide array of Appalachian subjects. Honestly had quite the challenge voting on just one for the audience award. Pre-showing there was a reception for the film makers with light snacks in an upstairs room, a very nice space with a small stage. The main lobby is charming with a refreshments counter. I'd go to ANYthing happening here, it was that lovely to me."
