"Our 2007 Prius battery has been exchanged for 2 weeks now and we could not be happier! The problem of our battery not maintaining a charge has disappeared with our original battery. The new battery’s performance is like new to us (we bought the vehicle used). Much thanks to our technician Victor who did a fantastic job! He was always very polite, professional and honest as he made the trip to our home 3 times before we received a battery that worked with our vehicle. We were all very patient with this process and were rewarded. I would highly recommend Hybrid Geek and Victor."
"The process was very easy with the Lifetime Warranty, just sent them the codes from my mechanic and service was scheduled within a day. Andre called before he arrived and quickly and easily swapped out my battery and even helped clean my fan for the battery."
"Recently had my gen 3 Prius battery die. Had the Hybrid Geek install a refurbished battery and paid for the lifetime warranty for $1,750. My car was not running and now it is, so for that I am happy. I also appreciate them driving nearly 150-200 miles to do the repair. From the moment I called to where they had a first available appointment, it was slightly over a week, which seems reasonable. I was at work when they came and I left the car at home, so they did the job and left before I was able to see the car. Here are my concerns and thoughts: 1) The reassembly job appears to be done in haste with little concern to a quality reassembly. The rear latch cover where the hatch latches was completely removed and tossed aside, never being reattached. The cover for the battery was also installed in such a way that the electric cable was reattached and now the cover can not be put back in place unless I mess with whatever that cable is (see image). I'm not very happy with this, but I guess I will have to manage. There were also two unknown long metal rods left on the floor of the back seat; I assume these came from the battery? Never seen them before. Again, it makes me concerned that if the covers were reassembled with such little concern, what about the stuff I can't see, like bolts for the seat, battery fan, battery cables, safety devices, etc. I don't like paying this much and being left feeling unsure about what can't be seen based on feelings I get from what can be seen on the outside. 2) The battery works. However, I am getting zero better milage than before. Still 38mpg after nearly a week of driving hundreds of miles. Before my Prius hit 150k I was always getting 45-52mpg. Slowly since 2020 it has been declining and I was really hoping this replacement battery would breathe new life into my car. It didn't. To be fair, the engine has 230k miles, so it could be the engine, emissions system or something else, but as the old battery had been struggling for a while it makes me unsure how a supposedly refurbished battery with new cells is unable to show any performance improvement. Again, it may not be the battery's fault, but due to my other concerns I can't help but share this detail. I have a lifetime warranty, but would rather not have to see this battery die to find out how this company honors it. The battery might still work at severe reduction in capacity, but would this be honored? Not sure yet, but I did want to mention it."
"I bought a used 3rd generation prius, where some shop in-between had poorly refurbished the HV battery. It gave out within 7 months, and I wasn’t paying Toyota 4-5k for a new HV. Hybrid Geek got me their New-Gen celled battery for my old-gen prius for less than 2,000 for delivery, installation, and a lifetime warranty. Their customer-service replied instantly when I first inquired, and they and their driver kept me updated every step of the way. My technician got it fully replaced and repaired within 40 minutes of the one hour window. Amazing service all round. TLDR: Great service, speed, quality, and price. Huge range of delivery on their website, they drove over 200 miles for my delivery."
