"First time I went, over two months ago I thought it was great. Went last night and it was like a completely different place and vibe. Bartenders were inattentive and very unprofessional. I’ve never in my life seen bartenders eating from a bag of food while serving customers. Aside from them being unfriendly and they all seemed bothered by the patrons. Will definitely not be back"

"I went with a friend to check out the GWR Distilling on a Saturday afternoon. I have lived in Waxhaw for a long time, and I am excited that there is a distillery. We sat at the bar, and the bartenders were very friendly and let us taste some of their bourbon. We each ordered an old fashion with the Rua. It was excellent. I was very impressed with the GWR Distilling in Waxhaw, and I look forward to coming back."

"Went for the first time this past Saturday. I had high hopes for it. There was a very strong odor of some sort that permeated the place. It was so dark I could hardly see the menu. The menu doesn’t have prices for the drinks. The drinks were just okay really and overpriced for Waxhaw. The bar staff was not friendly at all. No smiles and no sense of humor. Pretty much not impressed and won’t be back likely."
