"WARNING TO NEW PATIENTS! They will try to bully you into unnecessary treatment! I am a child of a dentist and dental hygienist with medical knowledge myself. I recently moved to NC and came to Cary Lee Family Dentistry seeking a normal 6 month cleaning. I have taken good care of my oral hygiene, however, I was told repeatedly that I required a Full Mouth Debridement procedure. This is in fact a lie. They will try to push this procedure on you because they can bill the insurance company for more and require you to come in for two appointments. This procedure is often times NOT COVERED by insurance! When I stated I only wanted my scheduled cleanings they made me sign a refusal of treatment form which I gladly signed. I have since had my xrays reviewed by 3 other dentists and a hygienist who all agree this was OVER TREATMENT and UNNECESSARY care! Ultimately they did agree to do my scheduled cleaning and the hygienist did a good job. I however will NEVER be returning."

"Updating my review years later after what I discovered today. Highly recommend asking as many questions as possible and for proof that cavities actually exist beyond an X-ray. It’s like showing someone a hole in the bottom of a cup but only showing them a view from the side. To start, I came in and was pressured into “deep cleanings” every 3 months for “periodontal disease”. I came in every few months out of the fear that my “teeth will fall out” (their words not mine) which my insurance did not cover. Over $1000 dollars down the drain. They used the fear tactic on a person they knew had dental phobia. I highly recommend if you do come here to NOT tell them you have anxiety.. they will empty your wallet. I was told on my first visit I had multiple cavities (5-6 total). I left one “deep cleaning” with literal blood blisters in my mouth. As someone who never had a deep cleaning they assured me “it was normal”. I have now been to two dentists that have both shown me proof that none of those cavities existed OR were ever filled and I absolutely do not have periodontal disease. The blisters were from them being way too rough in my mouth. I also called to ask for my records to be transferred when we moved and they are mysteriously “unable to find them”. Convenient."

"I cannot express my gratitude for the folks that took care of me in my time of need. I found myself new to NC and without a dentist. Sure enough, I ended up with an emergency that needed immediate attention. From my first call into their office I experienced nothing but kindness and professionalism at its finest. Dr. Lee was nothing short of AMAZING. Took me in right away, made sure I was comfortable the entire time. He took the time to make sure things were done correctly. I have several other issues that they will be helping me through and I know without a doubt, it will be a breeze. Anyone that is looking for the right dentist, look no further. Dr. Lee is the MAN! "Took my 5 year old son here for the first time (new to the area). My son has been to another dentist where we used to live. My son has autism and was nervous and this group handled my son with a lot of patience and care. My son felt comfortable and the hygienist was super nice and answered all of his questions. Dr. Kim was very throughout and I felt he was very clear and transparent and showed me areas on the teeth and on the X-ray where we needed to brush better for next time. My son also got a kids tooth goody bag and they let him pick out a few fun prizes including a small Lego kit that he was so happy about. He talked about how much fun he had at the dentist for the rest of the day!"
