"I did not like the fact that I had to wipe my phone down with a very wet, wet wipe before I could use it, I had to put everything on the floor on a paper towel and could not drink my juice (she said i could if it was water ).I was worried it would get water damage from it. She washed my hair with 4 pair of gloves on and did my hair with 2 pair of gloves on. I asked her to retighten my hair by interlocking ,I have sister locks and when she was done my hair did not look done at all it was fuzzy. She only retightend the roots not my actual new growth I had I,i can put two fingers through my locks where she didn't tighten. I paid $253. Biggest waist of money."

"She is located in Cary Parkside now!! Please read the other poor quality reviews because nothing has changed!!! She was over 10 mins late, did not acknowledge her tardy or apologize. Had me clean my phone with a Clorox wipe for 5mins at the door, made me leave my eye glasses on a Kleenex on the floor for “sanitation”, sent an email about not being able to wear a coat, purse, hoodie or bring anything inside besides your phone and a credit card, AFTER I made my deposit!! Mind you it’s 50 degrees outside and it felt like 45 degrees inside the salon!! She lit incense near my face without considering how I felt seeing as though I had to wear a mask the entire time and she didn’t!! If you are worried about Covid you should be protecting yourself first, why aren’t you wearing a mask?! I told her how short my hair was and my hair type before I booked and when I got there she tried to pull the natural hair thickness okie doke trying to charge me twice as much saying it was thicker and longer than I stated. It doesn’t get any thinker than 4b/c lady!! Not only was it not longer but it shorter than I told her because I got a trim service which took off a minimum extra 2inches. I was supposed to get coil twist but after the price doubling, having a non refundable deposit and my 1 hr drive from a nearby city, I settled on the wash and trim. She was so unprofessional that after my trim she literally left me to walk out of the salon with my short 4c hair blown out straight up! No protective braids offered, no short ponytail no single corn row NOTHING and she soaked my sweater collar! That’s not how you take care someone paying you $80 for a wash and trim!! I WILL NEVER RETURN!! I AM DEEPLY DISAPPOINTED BECAUSE SHE IS A BLACK WOMAN OWNED SALON BUT IM TIRED OF THIS TYPE OF TREATMENT WHEN I WORK HARD FOR MY MONEY!! This was a very disheartening experience! I wish her well but I’ll never return or recommend!!"

"I took my Mother here today to get her hair done. The ladies working today made us feel welcome and were very friendly. They were very accommodating and helpful with her figuring out what she wanted. My Mother doesn't get her hair done very often but when she left she couldn't stop talking about how much fun she had and that shes found her new place to get her hair done."

"Great experience at this salon it was very accommodating. My locs were very short and poorly kept. Mrs Itohan was wonderful and fixed my locs up perfectly. They are looking really nice she did a excellent job. She took excellent care of the locs, twisted them very well and my hair has grown a lot since coming here. I will definitely come back for services and if ANYONE needs to get they’re locs started or retwisted this is the PERFECT place for you, guaranteed."

"After reading the reviews, I see I wasn’t only one that the price changed tremendously once she was done, only wished I read prior too. I was quoted $180-210 and ended up paying $240. The worst I’ve ever experienced!...was initially getting crochet but not sure what it was I got. It looks like it was done by someone whom had no idea what they were doing! Had appt at 10 and didn’t leave until almost 4. Pretty sure the fact that she suffers from OCD contributed to such a bad hairdo. I never had someone that wears gloves while braiding and explains why it was very loose. This was definitely a lesson learned and I will never trust a new stylist unless I personally see their work. Pictures lie and I won’t be recommending her services. It’s sad because the salon was very nice and clean but the work was horrible! The stylist name was Itohan."
