"This was my first visit to Solar Nails and actually my first professional manicure ever, so I don't have much of a frame of reference but my experience was pretty good and my nails looks great. The owner was friendly and helpful upon my arrival, I didn't feel rushed at all. I got the deluxe manicure for $30 plus $20 for gel polish because I wanted them to look extra good and last a long time without chipping. The woman who did my manicure did a great job and got them all nice and even and perfectly painted. She was very thorough with the trimming, filing and removing the cuticles. The exfoliation and the massage felt great, but my one complaint is with the products they use to exfoliate and moisturize, etc. I personally am really sensitive to artificial fragrances and I hate and never use products with fragrance or parfum, or really any excess of synthetic compounds. I don't fault them too much for using what's common in the industry but more natural products without added fake perfumes aren't expensive or hard to come by and I think would be a great option for those of us who are sensitive to such smells. I even have a little bit of a headache from the lingering smell on my hands and forearms. Maybe in the future I'll just have to bring my own exfoliant and lotion, if they'll allow that but I don't see why they wouldn't. Overall this was worth it though. I don't think I'd want to get gel manicures, or any manicure, terribly frequently but I'm sure I'll be back at least once this year."
