Costco Tire Center

"I went into the store instead of ordering the tires online myself. The tech who helped me measured my tire size and placed the order for me at the counter. When I came for my install appt a few weeks later, I was called back and told that I had ordered the wrong size tires and that they had different tires in stock that they could install for almost $200 more. This was my first and will be my only experience with tire purchases at Costco. I’ll stick with NTB. Save yourself the wait and trouble."

"First off I will say that the staff was friendly, helpful, and responsive. That being said, I scheduled ten days in advance for an appointment for new tires. Showed up Friday and they said they didn't have them. Told me to come back Monday for a different and slightly better set of tires. Ok cool, I get it, supply chains, bureaucratic stuff, etc. Come Monday, they don't have those tires either. After waiting an hour they decide to put on yet another different set. After over two hours they were finished. Maybe they're short staffed, I don't know. But these multiple delays were totally unacceptable."

"3 hour wait for tire rotation even with an appointment (June 2022). 3 hour wait for tire rotation even with an appointment, and even though I was told it would be 90 min at check-in (August 2022). There is only one employee working in front (both visits) and he is responsible for every customer checking in, including going to the parking lot to assess tire and/or battery problems. He also answers the phone, which rings nonstop. He also has no way of seeing the status of customers’ service without leaving the counter and going to the service bays. On both visits only two technicians have been working in the back even though there are twelve listed on their board. NOT RECOMMENDED."

"So disappointed in the tire center. Made an appointment and the gentleman at the front was comment that it's good we had appointments because it could be 4-5 hours. We expected to wait 90 minutes or so. 3 hours later, the car is not done. I was shopping while I waited and have been done for over an hour. I have perishable items and still have 45-60 minutes to drive home. Do better with scheduling and finishing your appointments."

"I went to Costco today (10/4/2021) for my appointment which was scheduled for 12:00. I arrived and checked in for my appointment and was told it would take 45 mins. To an hour. I have no other vehicle so I told the man that I would be onsite shopping in the store while they completed my schedule tire rotation. I returned to the tire center to pick up my car at 1:15 and was told that they had not started on my car yet because they were very busy! I had an appointment and I had online documentation of my appointment. I was furious. They tried to tell me that they were short staffed and that additional employees had come in at 12:00. I was scheduled for 12:00 so that is not a valid excuse. I asked for my keys and told them I was not waiting one minute longer. When I went back out to look for my vehicle, it was exactly where I left it, untouched. The employees were rude and indifferent. Only excuses and no apology. I have been buying tires there for years, but after this experience, I will NEVER return. I am canceling my Costco membership and I will never go back. They have no air conditioning in their tiny waiting area with one hard bench. Customer service is terrible and they have trouble “finding” tires that I have ordered ahead. They may have better prices than some of their competitors, but not enough to make the suffering worth it. I will go anywhere but there from now on."
