"I’m a Burlington native and spent a hot minute trying to find local pork rinds, but with gas stations in this area being newer, I couldn’t find any local pork rinds. That may not sound like a huge deal, but I decided to check this Lowe’s to see if they had it (I know they’re known for their local support). I went in looking for the pork rinds, and had a bit of trouble. Out of the blue, this fella from the meat department is stocking food and stops to ask me if he can help me find something. APS not only knew exactly where they were, but he went in the back to see if they had any other flavors that weren’t stocked out yet. He offered help when he didn’t have to - a lot of folks don’t pay attention to their surroundings, but he was aware of the area around him and took an extra step to ask me. That’s big to me - I’m mid-thirties and have struggled finding friendly folks like I knew growing up in Burlington. It means a lot that he actually saw me, and cared. Also, props to Tammy for coming out super quick when I asked to speak with a manager - she’s friendly, bright, kind, and exactly the kind of person we need in this world. I’ll definitely come back. Thanks again APS and Tammy!"
"I had been going to that store for quite a while with my Service Dog, who gives me deep pressure therapy. Since he’s small, he needs to be at my level, when I sit; therefore, he has to sit either at a chair or a bench, where I sit. I understand that customers are welcome to sit at THE COMMUNITY TABLE, when available. The woman, who works cooking for the afternoon events, whose name is JOANA, started to harass my dog and me since September 2023 by not letting us sit at that table, even if she had finished working there. She was very disrespectful, rude, giving me an evil look, and she would send employees who work at the front of the store to ask me to leave the table with lies. I informed Management every time this happened, because she has been harassing me for at least 5 times. I told Management that JOANA MUST STOP HARASSING ME RECENTLY. 2 days later, there she goes again, wanting me to leave the table, when she was on her way out, the table was empty, and she sent employees to ask me to leave with lies. I have SEVERE PTSD; therefore, I had a panic attack, and I called the police on JOANA, who has to be disciplined, because that’s not the way to treat customers. She is not a Manager, and she has no authority to ask me to leave the table, when available. The previous Manager, Dan, asked me to sit there, and even Tammy, the current Manager sat with my Service Dog and me at that table several times. As a result of me calling the police, I have been banned from the store, I am not allowed to shop there, or even stand by the store door, which is very unfair since JOANA IS THE ONE WHO CAUSED TROUBLE, and needs to be disciplined. They should be apologizing to me, not banning me from the store. Many customers are shocked by what happened, and they think it’s unfair They even told me that I should be given an apology. Thank you so much for reading this, and for understanding.. That store has a bully working there. Best regards. Anita"
"Very nice NC chain. This Lowes is bigger than the one I frequent so had a few more specialty sections. Will stop again when I'm in the area. Very friendly staff!"
"This store is just... ick. The staff are hit or miss, I have been laughed at for buying wine and a pastry and one cashier refused repeatedly to bag my stuff, I have bought expired food ROUTINELY, I just bought grey sausage that I am pretty sure went bad and I had to throw out my entire soup, I've bought expired peanut butter and peanuts, and today, which was the final straw, I was buying feminine products and the girl who rang me up immediately started complaining about "men not getting it, and we have to work while we bleed, men are the worst." Just gross. Don't comment on my purchases. The food is bad, the staff lacks respect and etiquette, I just can't with this store anymore. I have complained to the store manager numerous times, nothing gets done."
