"This place is an undiscovered gem. Jess was fantastic and was very attentive to our table of 10. The food was absolutely delicious, the prices were more than reasonable, and "Grandma" herself took turns at every table, including ours. This place has been around for over 18 years, and they are checking all the boxes as to what a good restaurant should be. This place deserves an 11 out of 10, and this place will definitely be one of my haunts when I want breakfast, lunch, or desserts. This place is worth a trip."
"Was at this place today and atmosphere was filthy. Tables were dirty menus were greasy napkin, holder, salt, and pepper shakers were dirty. The only reason I stayed is cause my mom wanted to. We then ordered food. My mom explained that she wanted an English muffin well done. They put it on the grill instead of toasting it and my mom explained that she wanted it toasted. It came out still greasy and still grilled. They finally put it in the toaster and it came out soft. She then just said give me toast, please white toast, and they proceeded to talk in Spanish Negatively about us my husband is from El Salvador so I’m not 100% perfect in Spanish but I would say I understood about 70% of what they said and it was not nice and the kitchen is open so you heard everything. Besides all that the eggs I had were greasy and had like a brown grease from the grill on the eggs and the bacon did not taste the way bacon should taste , I wouldn’t recommend that place to my worst enemy. It was nasty and customer service was poor to say the least. Save your self a trip go someplace else can’t understand how they got four stars!"
"Old school casual atmosphere. Not particularly vegetarian friendly as had only one vegitarian item on menu, and unwilling to make fruit substitutions for a meat. Seemed to hear "no" a lot from our waitstaff when ordering, even when our meat eating friends were ordering. Egg whites in omelets were a little runny ... We came here because first watch had an hour wait, and were seated immediately. Pretty evident why."
"I hate to post a negative review of a local owned business because we love supporting local, but there's no way around it. We finally tried Grandma's Diner after passing it for a couple of years. What a let down. There were 6 of us and our check was $115 and not a single person enjoyed their food. The hash browns were weird and dry and tasted like rice. The pancakes were just ok. The French toast was decent. The chicken was frozen which is ridiculous when a whole section of your breakfast menu is dedicated to chicken and waffles. The bacon was not cooked all the way, the sausage was just frozen patties that tasted exactly like McDonalds, the home fries with veggies were from frozen (the onions and peppers were literally still cold), we didn't have any salt or syrup and heard the table next to us say that they were also out of pretty much all the things at their table that was supposed to be stocked. We didn't realize that the apples that were supposed to come with the chicken and waffles wasn't brought out at first, and when we did realize it we didn't even bother saying anything because we knew they were probably straight out of a can anyways. Nothing about the experience makes any of us want to come back. Honestly, this is one of the most disappointing meals we've had in a long time and we regret going."
