"Service and ambiance here are great. Food is top tier as well. Take your time with the pairings. Chandler the server is great and DJ Suave Vibe has the playlist poppin’ we sang and danced while we ate. We had an excellent time here."
"Stopped by Krill for dinner! Group of 5 with a reservation...we were sat immediately. Decor inside is nice. We ordered a large variety of food, since their portions are a bit on the smaller side. We ordered: -green papaya and mango salad: good -asian pear arugula salad: good -tuna ceviche with rice crisps: good -pork belly bao buns (comes with 2): probably one of the best tasting, but a bit overpriced for two -grilled skirt steak: ok -whole fish with pineapple ensalada: below average, mainly for a picture, there wasn't much fish meat -krill fried rice: ok -crab khao soi: did not try, since allergic to crab -red miso flat noodle: good, noodle was made well -chilled soba and dashi broth: nice and light -chive pancake: would avoid, not good Overall, food was good, but again, portions smaller. Parking is available in the open lot next door."
"It was date night with my amazing and handsome husband. He surprised me with dinner at Krill. The restaurant had an authentic Southeastern Asian flare. The manager happily greeted and sat us along a wall of banquette tables against the backdrop of Durham. The decor of the restaurant was authentic Southeast Asian artwork showing off the the beauty and culture its people. Once seated we were greeted by the fabulous Kristen. She exudes happiness and a certain level of professionalism. We quickly became friends. She told us the specials but having done our homework, we knew exactly what we wanted. I started with a lychee martini which was deliciously decadent with a touch of modernity. Onward to the food. To start, the husband ordered wonderfully succulent and savory shrimp dumplings while I ordered the fresh crab salad with freshly picked crab meat from the shell. Our third and final appetizer was stir fried bok choy. As a full blooded Hong Kong Chinese man, I put the sauce of the bok choy on my white rice because it was a sauce my grandmother would make. My husband’s entree was the grilled skirt steak with micro greens and a spicy peanut sauce. His extract word was “incredible”. I had the crab khao soi. It was “the perfect curry in a bowl”. Period. Full stop. I was completely amazed with the flavor profiles. And finally to end the dinner, we got pandan cheese cake. If you haven’t, you must. The combination of silky smooth firm deliciousness will move you. In closing, my husband delivered a date night for books by choosing Krill. We had heard Krill was good but good does not even begin to describe the onslaught of delicious wonderment you will experience. Enjoy."
"Tempted to walk out before ordering…. Wish I did. Appears to be lack of proper management. Entire staff were moping around, had zero polish, appeared untrained and unmotivated. Atmosphere… place was dirty. Unclean empty tables even with only 1/3 of tables occupied prime time on Saturday night. Used cloth napkins strewn about floor. Used chop stick wrappers on floor… I counted 5 wrappers near me. Food… ordered steamed shrimp dumplings… they came out in about 90 seconds after ordering. Not sure how that was possible. I was worried about food poisoning and decided to not eat more than one mediocre bite. Fried rice… tasted like lots of soy sauce and msg infused rice mixed in with a bag of frozen green giant peas and carrots. I couldn’t get out of there fast enough. Also, spoke with someone who had similar experience several month earlier. My bad experience doesn’t appear to be a fluke."
"I loved everything about it! The vibe is incredible. It’s beautifully decorated inside and the patio is adorable! I can’t wait until they get heaters on the patio, so we can enjoy that this winter! Service was super friendly! Each person we encountered was kind and helpful! The drinks were killer!! Such a large drink menu with tons of wicked flavors and combos! The food was incredible! I’m not super picky, but I tend to stay in my comfort zone and tonight my comfort zone went for a ride! It was so delicious and there were absolutely no regrets! We will 100% be coming back!"
