"Good dinning experience. Honest wait staff. Nice place on the beach when accepted at face value. Mix of everyone here so generally felt like anyone is welcome. Food was good with just the right amount of toppings on the sandwiches and burgers. Fries were the flaky crispy kind which we enjoyed."

"November 7th, 2023 Came and sat inside by the table near the window overlooking the beach. Ordered fish sandwich(flounder) and a cluster of crab legs. The weather was clear and not a cloud in tje sky. The time was later in the afternoon so we watched the ocean waves, pelicans flying by and saw the sun set behind the pier. ≈=============================== August 7th, 2023. Came for simple food and the view. Got in within minutes of arriving. The weather is spectacular and the view is great too. ================================ Had the fish sandwich (flounder) on a long roll with GREEN lettuce with French fries for $14 98 . Enjoyed the beach breeze while waiting for and then getting lunch. Wasn't in a hurry and loved the "Lazy Turtle" experience. This was much better for food, price and atmosphere than Fishy Fishy!"

"I’m so glad I ignored the negative reviews online and discovered this gem of a restaurant this year. The Lazy Turtle may be a little rough around the edges on the inside, but I wouldn’t know, as I’ve now enjoyed three delicious meals outside with excellent service. You can’t beat staying in the Yaupon area, walking to the restaurant, and dining on the beach. Interestingly enough, I still haven’t tried any seafood here, but the sandwiches and chips are fantastic. The portion sizes are generous, and the staff members have been nothing but courteous and attentive every time. I’ll be back!"

"Eating on the beach is really cool...and that's about it. The hostess, "Momma", didn't seem too happy we wanted to eat there. I guess I got on her bad side because she sat other people who checked in after us before us. The food is a grade below okay. I will give it to the servers though. They were working hard! One was literally running. The cheese curds were tasty. The Philly cheese and feast basket were underwhelming. If it wasn't on the beach it would be a 1.5 or 2."
