"my family and i had breakfast here today and we were blown away at how good the food was!! the potatoes were perfectly cooked (soft on the inside, crunchy outside) that honestly i wanna come eat here again just because of the potatoes lol also everyone was so sweet and our waitress kept refilling our coffee mugs. highly recommend the sweet potato wedges."

"Awesome addition to oak island! My husband and I went for a late breakfast on a Sunday morning. There was a wait (as expected anywhere that’s open on OKI on a weekend morning) but they turned tables quickly. Once we sat down, everyone was super attentive and cheery. Our food arrived like ten minutes after we ordered, so food service was incredibly quick. All of the food was REALLY good, but the waffle was OUTSTANDING. I am not normally a sweets for breakfast person, but I will DREAM about this waffle with whipped cream and berries. It was the lightest, fluffiest (but also still had a crunch on the outside — but not too crispy) most delicious thing ever. My favorite thing though was that the owner and chef, Rick, was incredibly kind and hard working. He was bussing tables, assisting guests at the front desk, and made it a point to speak with each table and ask how everything was. This is exquisite service and I always appreciate when the owner is there with a positive attitude. It was a pleasure to meet him and dine here. Can’t wait to come back!"

"The two women with me were very happy this morning when they found out that Fixins has many options of gluten-free foods. One chose waffles with real maple syrup. The other chose the cinnamon bun. They loved it! They thanked the staff and chef for meeting their requests and making their days extra special! All of our food tasted very good. It was great to have a mimosa with breakfast, too! Definitely a place to go if you have to eat from GF options....and if you don't, experience this place anyway and bring your GF friends! You won't be disappointed!"

"Great local breakfast spot with Barn style theme inside. Large portions and good prices! Little bit of a wait, so get in early. Family oriented but definitely go for those breakfast mimosas!"

"Great diner on OKI. Attentive staff, great coffee with a few selections for those who like darker roasts. Egg dishes were nicely done. The homefries are fried and good portions. The waffles were nice and fluffy. The eggplant sandwich was HUGE! We appreciated the waitress checking with the chef and allowing us to order lunch at 8am! The lunch menu looks fantastic. We'll be back for breakfast and to try lunch!"
