"We tried the waffles, bacon and sausage. Delicious. They have their own brew of coffee. Delicious. Very satisfying and medium/average priced. Got the punch card for locals."
"Pretty nice food and service, very clean interior. Had the Homestead Platter and the eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuit, gravy were all good. The eggs and the biscuit were definitely the best part. Bonus for having a soft biscuit that doesn’t crumble apart and is already buttered. Decent price and a good amount of food. Good variety of menu items too."
"Food was terrific. Husband said pancakes were "fine." I really liked my spicy bowl (name?) with ham and jalapenos. Our server, Mia, was excellent. I gave 3 starts for atmosphere because I really don't care about atmosphere in a breakfast place. It's nice and clean, so that's important. A drawback to the atmosphere was a waitress with a heavy smoker's voice shouting to people in the back."
"My wife and I went in for breakfast this morning. I'd been up all night driving and was hungry; to my surprise, they had homemade corn beef hash! So I ordered corn beef hash, scrambled eggs, grits, and toast. The toast was not dry but had a sponge consistency: sourdough, delicious. My grits and scrambled eggs were cooked as I requested, grits were not too soupy and the eggs were fluffy perfectly cooked. Everything else was so great the beef hash struggled to be the star; but prevailed. It had very small dice potatoes and corned beef seasoned to perfection. I did add salt pepper and butter to the grits, they were cooked with salt, I just like a little more than most. My wife ordered eggs over medium, blueberry muffin, and fruit. Again, eggs were cooked to perfection. The blueberry muffin came out toasted! A delightful surprise for my wife. She said it was delicious. Fruit was fresh. This place was busy; and the staff was attentive and polite. We enjoyed our meal and our time there. It is a pleasure to recommend this establishment for breakfast. As well as everything we had was prepared, I'm certain the rest of the menu is as delicious. Update: went back to have some more corned beef hash, then changed my mind. I had a BLT on white bread (because it was so good the other day for breakfast) with a hard food egg and potatoe salad. The sandwich did not disappoint. The bread was amazing and the rest... come on, who doesn't like a BLT with an egg? It was delicious. I will say this if you don't like store bought potatoe salad, don't get it. It was store bought and tasted just like what you get at your local grocer. Want impressed much with that. Potatoe salad is easy to make I have two separate recipes I use. One I use sweet gherkins and salad dressing and the other I use many dills and Hellmann's mayonnaise. Other than that, both recipes have potatoes, hard boiled eggs, and mustard. Eaten chilled. You could add finely diced celery and use sweet relish or dill relish; but you would need the celery for the crunch. Texture is key. I don't like raw onions, so that isn't an option for me. But could be for someone who does. Anyway, very simple recipe and had always been devoured when I make it, either flavor dill or sweet. Keep businesses like this in busy. They are rare and disappearing every quarter. I try and review every restaurant that is a blessing to the community they support as often as I run across them. This is definitely one of them."
"Food was really good so I'm giving it 2 stars, but otherwise it wasn't worth that. The service was poor from the start. We visited on a busy Sunday morning so I get it, we're gonna wait but the person who was hostess was also cleaning tables and helping servers when there's a line out the door. No one greeted us or took our name & party size so I wrote my own name down on the list because it was so mismanaged. Once we got seated, our waitress visited all of two times- just to take orders and bring food. No refills or checking in. Once we were done, we sat for 30 minutes until she realized we were done and brought our check! The lack of service discounted the good food. I wouldn't come back"
