"I don't know what has happened but the last 3 times we went it was very disappointing. They don't have a lot of items that are on their menu right off the bat but then when you order they will come back and tell you that they are out of that as well. The wait staff are still wonderful but you can see the stress of not being able to please a customer is getting to them. The food itself is just so-so, used to appreciate their great home cooking but it is now sub par. Its a shame because we really loved the place, may do breakfast but definitely not lunch or dinner any longer"
"Service is great. Polite staff. I've eaten there about 4 times in the last few year. Never been disappointed. Food is consistently poor. Fried fish is coated with an inch of batter so that when they fry it, the batter is well done, and the fish is still frozen. Burgers are bloody red on the inside. Food is always served cold. Reminds me of the food they served the residents in the nursing home I worked at."
"A classic style American dinner with delicious food & friendly service. We came here for a work lunch & left so happy. We had Greek salads & fried pickles. All the food looked great. This place is such a slice of Americana. A great Carthage gem."
