"I had the Chopped Cheese: 10/10, the flavors were present and it was delicious. The plantains were good; they weren't as sweet but they were browned to perfection. The Salmon BLT was delicious, although the fries were a tad bit overseasoned and the bun was a bit too charred. The banana pudding was delicious."

"Man, listen, I went twice in one week. Those wings in yam drizzle and seasoned fries are spectacular. On my second trip, I got the sweet potato pie and huntee, and let's say this chick got her Thanksgiving dessert decided. Now, the food is fantastic, but taking a moment to listen to the owner's Instagram post, man the business model and their strategy for engaging the community, including other black entrepreneurs and content creators, I wish them mad success. Sidenote: thank you for bringing real soul food to South Charlotte/Inland."

"Unfortunately Food Geeks Eatery is horrible. Don’t believe the PAID instagram foodies! Why is this soul food restaurant using Adobo and Saźon in their food ? Their ‘Specialty’ Brownsville fried chicken with the Candy Yam drizzled was really a pool of Candy Yam sauce causing the wings to be soggy. The grilled Salmon was seasoned heavily with Saźon and the Mac & Cheese was full of Adobo. FYI they don’t accept CASH it’s card only!"

"I had the lamb platter with Mac n cheese and church punch oh! And the banana pudding. Let me just say OMG!! Everything was amazing, well seasoned, full of flavor. Oh shoot! I also had the yam drizzled wings!!!! Ahhhhh. So so good! Excited they’re in my area and conveniently inside of Walmart. I will be back and I highly recommend!"

"I saw this place on TikTok and I was flying in from California to come home to Columbia from Charlotte airport. I stopped to get some food at the Walmart on Charlotte Highway. They were closed because they ran out of food. Terrence the owner made me some food and he cooked the food from scratch. He’s amazing; the food was great. I think everyone should try this place."
