"My wife and I were in town for a funeral and were basically wandering around trying to figure out where to eat. We were looking through the window of a pub whose social media made it look dismal, and there was guy standing down the sidewalk a ways outside of another restaurant (Bistro 29) saying “Come on in. We’ll take care of you.” We did. And they did! Bartender was super-personable and made good drinks, but the food was absolutely outstanding. My wife had their salmon offering and I had the blueberry glazed pork chop. Both were incredibly delicious. The pork chop was the best that I’d had in a very very long time. Cooked to perfection! The salmon was flaky and delicious, and their sides were perfect as well. I know that they’ll be closing soon for remodeling BUT we will be back."
"We ordered the Chilean Sea Bass with a Quinoa salad. However, we didn't even get a "Salad". This was the day's special. When the Chilean Sea Bass arrived, it was served with a cream like a soupy substance. It did have a little quinoa and 3 or 4 cherry tomatoes with what we thought was perhaps onions (not really sure). No salad. No bread. The Chilean Sea Bass was good until I bit into bone. We both ordered the same meal, having both had Chilean Sea Bass in the past @other restaurants. The cost for what we received was overpriced. The total was $89 & some change. We had waters. We were disappointed and unfortunately will not return. I'd like to note that our wait time was long as well, and we were the 1st ones in the door, and after we arrived, only two other couples came in. We had been to this restaurant about 4 or 5 years or perhaps longer ago, and we actually got bread with our meals at that visit and a lot more for the money. We do splurge on finer dining, so we don't mind paying. However, for the price, this was sadly disappointing. We do not recommend and won't be back."
"Food was good, some better than others. Lamb was a bit over cooked with burned edges. Ribye was decent, but I expected more for the price. Roasted duck breast was great though, as was the pork chop. Lobster mac and cheese was good as well. Service was great."
"Awkward. When you first walk in your hit with a heavy weird foul smelling odor, kind of like a old vacuum exploded. After being say down at our table we waited an hour for our meals. Disappointed with our plates once we tried them. My mother and I ordered chicken Parmesan sandwiches. Very chewy and stringy like chicken patty. It was almost a perfect circle. I don’t think a frozen chicken patty on bread should be $16. My fiancé and step mother ordered the burgers, he asked for medium and she asked for well done. They looked to be hand shaped. They both mentioned theirs being over seasoned and salted. Also why asked how you’d like it cooked when your going to overcook both?? Everyone enjoyed the French fries! The menu is over priced for the quality of food."
