"Décor was awesome and staff were really friendly and helpful. Good was good and prices were not too high especially since it's a tourist destination"
"Go see this place! We had a fun meal, great memorabilia, fun waitstaff!"
"The best malted I ever had- as the owner told me!! Suoer super good- thick, delicious, old skool. I tried a new cheese (pimento) which was tasty and they put it on my also tasty burger. The space is obviously an old drugstire- that's fun, with a working weight machine in the back near some NIB vintage soda shoppe Barbies. But-- - Have to knock a pint because politics were displayed- made us uncomfortable and, frankly, not needed. My opinion- keep your personal politics out of your cute place."
"Food was ok. $17 for a soda, water, double cheeseburger, hotdog & 2 fries. (They do take cards which is a bonus) Service was honestly awkward. When you walk in you "wait to be seated". We walked in staring at 5 empty tables for 10 mins (with no where to really stand out of the way). People kept trying to come in behind us but would leave because no one greeted us when we came in. A "Hello, we'll be right with you" goes along way. The workers would stare at us standing there. (Awkward) After we were seated we would watch the door as more people came in, no greeting, stand there awkwardly & then leave. A suggestion is to have people work stations. The cashier should also be the to-go person & should be stationed by the door as a greeter (& can sub in as hostess). Instead everyone just worked every job, bussing tables, hostess, running food, making ice cream, taking to-go orders, cooking, putting away clean dishes, cashier, etc. If you want an awesome example of how soda shops should be ran: S&T Soda Shoppe (Pittsboro, NC) & Graham Soda Shoppe (Graham, NC)"
"Not sure which was better, the service or the food but both were excellent! They were getting ready to close but invited us in to eat anyways. No frowns from workers waiting to go home but rather pleasant smiles from a very friendly staff. The place is filled with pictures and items from the world of Mayberry along with others. The manager came over and insured we were pleased with our meals and service. When passing through Mount Airey "Mayberry" you would be cheating yourself not to stop here."
