"Stopped by for some food while traveling. It’s a country diner. Lots of fried foods and comfort foods. Not really my thing, but the food was fine. Kinda a funny place to eat. They stay true to their country theme, and our waitress was kind. Traveling with two young kids, we really leaned into the “family” in their name ;) Probably won’t go back, but happy we went!"

"I’ve driven past this place many times as we used to frequent the car shop right next door - it always had a homey feel before I even walked into the door, but man does it live up to the hype. I went here for breakfast after an early doctors appointment. I was going to go home, but then decided to go a different route due to traffic on a road nearby. I saw this place and decided to stop by for breakfast, there was amazing customer service, amazing food, and it was just amazing all around. The staff and everyone had a smile on their face, every customer that entered the doors was happy, and left even happier. I got Canadian Bacon, 2 Fried Chicken Biscuits and sweet tea for breakfast. MAN , That sweet tea is Southern, just the way I like it. Bacon was done very well, soft and juicy, but still had a nice crisp edge & sear on it. The biscuits were perfectly done, and took all the juice from each bite of chicken into it, which made it even tastier each bite after the next. Definitely recommend this place to any family in the area or plan to stop by, the name speaks for itself! I’m planning to move back to Winston for a while, so this place will definitely be on my radar each day!!"

"This place is everything you want in a cozy diner. The waitstaff is attentive and kind. We have only had their breakfast so far but everything was delicious. Amazing experience and we will be repeat customers."

"Coffee: 8/10 Eggs 10/10 Home fries 10/10 Fried pork tenderloin 6.5/10 Biscuit 10/10 Atmosphere 10/10 Service 100/10 Loved everything about this place. Prices are decent, serving size was bigger than expected service was stellar. Fried pork tenderloin was a bit dry and a bit tough. Could have been because I had it fried. I probably wouldn't get the tenderloin again however, and it could have certainly been a "one off". I will go here anytime I'm on that side of town. Also someone else said "very small restaurant" I'm not sure why they would say that. I guess comparing it to a HUGE restaurant, then yeah... parking lot was rather full and when I went in there was plenty of tables avaliable"

"Overall Thoughts: As a whole, I’d give this location 4.9 Stars. The staff has been there forever and seemingly know everyone that comes in. This place is the to Lewisville, what Cheers was to Boston. While there is nothing that is OVERWHELMING on the menu - you can’t go wrong with any choice you make 1. Restaurant Type: Family 2. Price/Value: Very Affordable 3. Atmosphere: Laid-back family oriented 4. Food Quality: Great Quality 5. Service: Fantastic 6. Parking: The parking lot is small, but no real issues getting in and out 7. Must Haves: Everything on the menu is good"
