"Typical Dollar General. Very clean. Very friendly staff. Easily accessible with plenty of parking. Everything you need from toiletries, shirts, crossword puzzles, balloons or just a drink and a candy bar. Public bathroom, just ask for the key. Tight isles from all the stock. Staff may be busy and not at the check out, just grunt out or cough loudly and someone will come help."

"This store is great but the one in Sparta is a nightmare. You can't find anything,you can barely move down the isle and we actually drive a hour to go to another store. This Dollar General has been a nightmare since we bought our mountain house. We love the community but that Dollar General is ridiculous. Close it it gives all the other DGs a bad name and I shop atleast twice a week at Dollar General. Lover of DG except for Sparta DG.You have to go in there to realize just how bad it is. The store actually stinks. God bless there's another one about in independence on the way to Gaylax VA and I live in NC. That shows just how bad it is. Ty"

"I've never understood their corporate policy to have cashiers stocking during open hours, but aside from the short wait for a cashier to come to the register, my favorite little stop in on the way home for the simple stuff."

"The layout that came with the remodel isn't ideal, but it seemed to allow for better/more products. While I still find that sometimes I'm standing waiting at the register with no employees in sight, it isn't nearly as bad as it used to be. Overall the employees and management are a major improvement over those in the past. They seem to appreciate customers and will go out of their way to help."

"Love this Dollar General! Super clean and organized. Manager always there and staff great to work with. Great place to shop. Never know what cute items you might find when you run in for necessities. Always have fresh milk and bread."
