"My wife and I went into this store while on a weekend getaway, and my wife tried on 2 or 3 shirts/vests that she was debating on purchasing. Throughout the entire experience the old man in the cowboy hat (possibly the owner?) was aggressively pushing us to buy an item. When my wife and I talked about the steep price of the items, we decided to not buy them today, but to maybe save up and come back later since we’re sort of tight on money. As we were walking out of the store and politely said “thank you!” the older man in the cowboy hat bluntly said, “Now I thought you liked that vest…What’s wrong with it?”. So my wife politely replied that we were tight on money and may return later. The old man then rudely replied, “Well then don’t try anything else on!”. Naturally, I was surprised hearing how grouchy he was, and I laughed at his reply. But rest assured, after looking at his mean mug I realized he was dead serious. My wife and I quickly exited the store and we will definitely NOT be returning. I’ve never felt so pressured in a store to buy something before, and then treated so rudely when we decided to hold off. I’d recommend not giving this rude shop owner any business. Although, in the end I only have myself to be disappointed in. I should have known that a husky, 60-ish year old man dressed like he’s in Bonanza working in a retail store wouldn’t have the best manners. Other than this unfortunate experience - Great weekend!"
"My boyfriend and I go to king street today and go into Watsonatta for him to look at boots. He tries on 2-3 different kinds and we decide to go to look around somewhere else to see if they have others he would like before making a decision. We tell the owner thank you for helping and we will come back later. The owner, an older gentleman, tells us “don’t come back because I don’t have anything for you”. I thought he was kidding but he was dead serious. I regret not saying anything back to him but was so appalled at how we were treated. I have lived here for over 20 years and have never experienced something like this here. Will definitely never be back."
"This store actually had some pretty cool things. We were even considering buying a hat and a dress there but because there are so many things in the store and the isles are literally 20 inches wide, we could not find a mirror so I was taking pictures of my friend with a hat on then we were kicked out….. I’ve never been kicked out of a store before and when I am it’s not even because I was doing a bad thing. I’m not sure what the reason is but if you’re going to have a retail store with interesting inventory, expect people to take pictures. Sorry we don’t live in the west in 1899"
"This was a bit of an odd experience, so I have to give it 4 stars, not a 5. They only permit a small number of people at a time in the store (so preparw to stand on the sidewalk for a while), you are FORBIDDEN to take pictures of the boots (which made it very difficult to figure out if they had the boots my son wanted), and the aisles are about 22 inches wide. All they being said, they had a fantastic selection, knowledgeable staff, and their prices are on par with other boot stores."
"Two years ago my wife and I came to the store to try and find boots for her very hard to fit feet. The staff spent all kinds of generous time with us and went the extra mile (and then some) to find a pair that actually fit. We also purchased two Stetson hats that we are very pleased with. This week I went in to look for another Stetson and the owners went out of their way to assist me with what I was looking for, and again came through with the exact one I wanted. We have had nothing but great customer service and have always been pleasantly surprised that they have had what we wanted in stock for a fair price. Thanks for everything ya’ll!"
