"The medical assistants were wonderful. I came in for a migraine and had to wait an hour, which is not unexpected for a walk-in clinic. The front desk staff was helpful and reassuring while I was waiting. However, when I finally got into the room, the doctor (Joseph Weiss) came in and was less than kind. I understood he was the only doctor on staff, but that was not my problem, and I should not have been made to feel like asking for care was an inconvenience. I needed IV fluids because I had been vomiting all day, unable to keep water down, severely dehydrated, and I shouldn't have been treated as if asking for such a service was a hindrance to his treatment of other patients. The assistant then came in to set everything up. Once again, kind, calming, she made me feel comforted. When the doctor came back in to administer the IV he seemed dubious and inexperienced. Walking around the room to grab things waving around an uncapped needle is a haphazard. When I expressed anxiety and that I felt like I was going to pass out he told me simply not to look, and that the blood running down my arm and the catheter about to pop out of my vein was normal. I have been a phlebotomist for over 5 years and I have NEVER administered an IV so poorly. I sat for the 500mL bag and was ready to leave at that point. I declined a second 500mL because I just wanted to get out of there. The nurse removed the IV, put a band-aid on it, and I left. When I got home the cotton pad was soaked in blood, bleeding through my sleeve, and I had to change my bandage when I got home only 10 minutes later. I have never had such a terrible IV experience. This morning my antecubital fossa is bruised, swollen, and I look like I have track marks. 2 stars because the medical assistants were lovely and kind, the treatment plan was satisfactory, and I left without a migraine and was able to keep fluids down. The ONLY reason I came to this urgent care was because the urgent care I typically go to, Chai Urgent Care, was closed for Shabbos. When I mentioned this to the doctor he laughed at my mispronunciation of the word "Chai" (I know it's not pronounced like the tea) and said with my last name (Jewish) he was surprised that I would mispronounce a Jewish word. Very unprofessional. ****Update**** Nicole, the manager, reached out to me and addressed my concerns. She was kind and not only listened to my grievances, but let me know they were not falling on deaf ears. She also refunded my $50 copay which was an added bonus. Thank you Nicole for your professionalism and empathy."
"Hi! I came in this morning because I haven’t been feeling well since Monday. I got tested on Wednesday for Covid/ Flu/ Rapid, results were negative. Today Saturday am still not feeling well so I came in for the first time at MedRite. Receptionist were great they both welcomed me and assisted. When I got called in by the MA, she questioned me on why I was here. She repeated the testing I did Wednesday and result again were negative. The doctor came in and so felt like the doctor was uncomfortable assisting me. I understand the circumstances if she wasn't a physician. So I felt a little unpleasant with the visit. Being a physician is assisting patient in need. In my personal opinion I do believe that doctor become doctor to help patient when not well not feel some sore of disgust."
"I would not recommend this place! I specifically told both the doctor and the nurse SEVERAL times that my cough is the main reason of my visit, running noise is just a very mild symptom. But the doctor (short light brown hair) ONLY prescribed me a nasal spray for my running noise which doesn’t even need much of a treatment!! He basically ignored what I told him about my cough!!! At the end, he didn’t even ask me if I have any questions but simply rushing out of the room… Now I have to visit another doctor in another urgent care for my cough… Very poor medical treatment I received. The nurses are nice tho, but that doesn’t make things any better tbh…"
"This place is perfect if your insurance fits their growingly small list of accepted policies. They have been becoming picky with which insurances they accept, while also raising their prices, to such a degree that I can only recommend this place if you urgently need care and are right next to the building. For a simple std test I was quoted 600-2000$, while citimd was able to perform a full panel test for a 50$ copay."
"Made me wait for over an hour because they got me in the wrong order. Then proceeded to let some white lady cut in front of me simply because she was being dramatic at the front desk which is completely unfair. My concerns were not taken seriously and I was not properly attended to. It was such a horrible experience, I never want to come back here again."
