Reviews of Village Park Medical
"I would rate 0 if i could. First of all nobody had any clue what is going on with online appointments. And assistant manager name nicky was extremely unprofessional and very rude. Do not waste your time."
"The doctor was professional and nice but the nurse practitioner or person at the front desk was making me incredibly uncomfortable. I literally went in to get a travel vaccine for yellow fever and typhoid, and had many questions for my doctor knowing that my insurance wasn’t going to be covered on any of this, so naturally, I wanted to make sure I knew what I was getting. As soon as I confirmed that I was OK with the shots, the nurse came in with her payment forms, expecting me to pay in the doctors office literally with my shirt off. It was incredibly uncomfortable and felt weird for me they literally prioritized payment over patient experience to the extreme. As if I wasn’t good for the money? Because I wanted to know the ins and outs of what I was paying for? Anyway, the doctor apologized which I appreciate it but I did not appreciate the nurses attitude or bedside manner."
"I’ve been seeing Dr. William Mandell for several years and have total confidence in his medical care. Let’s face it, medicine has changed in the past decade and doctors are being squeezed in both directions. This office is a busy group practice affiliated with NYU Langone and all of the practitioners I’ve dealt with have been great. Occasionally I’ve had an urgent medical situation and have seen the NP the same day. Highly recommend."
"Really ill people should avoid this house of quackery. My doctor william mandel refused to give me any antibiotics regardless of how sick I got. Me losing weight and passing out at home in front of my grandson meant nothing to him. Then he had the nerve & odasity months later when spring arrived to say after weighing me that I got my weight back. No thanks to him, because the normal process of seasonal change from winter to spring burned out my infection. None of the doctors there believe in prescribing antibiotics and will not no matter how sick you are. Every winter, I get respiratory infections and this quack tells me to speak with my local pharmacist for a suggestion as to what over the counter medicine will help me. No over the counter medicine ever helped me, but it did hurt me financially by draining my small social security check even smaller & reducing my spending ability on food and pertinent monthly living expenses. Every time I became ill & wanted antibiotics, I had to have a pro & con debate. The staff is lazy and the two years I was there, I witnessed a rapid turnover of employees. I ask a medical worker for a form & she tells me that the receptionist should have given it to me, instead of her just doing what the Dr told me to ask her for. I am out of that house of quackery & all I can say is good riddance!!!"
"Doctor Dennis Karter is great. He has been my doctor for 20+ years.. When I had a stroke, he got right on the hospital for discharging me too soon, and not being thoroughly diagnosed and treated.. He is very passionate about medicine and his patients.."
