Spring Grove Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center

"Family member got stuck here, he went a day and a half without food. Never gave him what he ordered either. It wasn't because it was his first day or two there and intake lag was happening either. This was a week in. They ignored him when he tried to get food. Seriously, don't bring your family member here if you have an alternative. I did not. They will say "yes" and overpromise to you. It seems like they are understaffed and trying to do too much. This could be because of lazy /unqualified workers or people that shouldn't be working in healthcare or it could be a management issue that's trickling down to nearly every aspect of life at this facility. I will say though, the people who do physical therapy w/ my father were "pretty good and nice" according to him."

"My mom was a patient at Spring Grove for a couple weeks and we had a very positive experience! The facility was clean and every staff member I encountered was welcoming and kind. Especially nurse Nana - she was patient and knowledgeable, and took the time to keep me updated as well as to ensure my mom got everything she needed. Also Grizsale in admissions was so helpful with not only admission but discharge too. I also have to thank the physical therapists, my mom said everyone she worked with was kind and patient. I was there when therapist Kin had her in therapy and she was wonderful. Thank you Spring Grove!"

"Food was RARELY what you ordered, aides were inhumane (actually gave my mom a bath out of a BEDPAN), lost a jacket on DAY ONE (asked 5 staff and NOT ONE CAME BACK TO SAY THEY EVEN LOOKED FOR IT), nurses couldn't get the pills right- day after day after day (thank GOD my mom knew what pills she was supposed to be getting). On a good note-PT nurses were great ."

"My recent stay at Spring Grove Rehabilitation was a very great experience. I went for PT because of Lumbar Spine Surgery. I must say that everyone that I came in contact with was very helpful and friendly. (CNA's, Nurses, Dr. Patel, the recreational staff, etc). And a special shout out to the PT staff who got me back on my feet and out the door in 2 weeks. I highly recommend Spring Grove for your rehab needs. Thank you for everything. S. Porter"
