"I was seen by doctor Eckstein and been dealing with him for maybe 20 years. I went to him as a child and thought to allow my daughter to be seen by him. His wife/ manager has always been very rude and nasty and has no respect for anyone. She pick and choose who she wants to be nice too. Today, I went to allow my daughter to be seen. However, I was expressing that I did not receive certain medication due to it not being refilled and I sent a request via CVS app. My daughter was in the hospital and being that “not trying to make it about race” but people always feel that all black women have attitudes and being argumentative when we could speak normally with no base or anything that I was a bit annoyed because it seems like Dr Eckstein never listen to the parents and what they are trying to speak about. He goes to say I AM NOT GOING TO ARGUE WITH YOU. THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT YOU DID IN THE HOSPITAL WITH THE RESIDENTS. I DO NOT WANT TO HEAR WHAT YOU HAVE TO SAY AND IF YOU DO NOT LIKE IT YOU DO NOT HAVE TO COME HERE ANYMORE. I told him that I am not arguing with him I am just trying to speak. And I was very confused on his behavior especially when I have never been disrespectful to him. He is going based off the residence in the hospital and what the may have stated. He told me that I am the one who decided to stay at the hospital with my daughter when I am not they were very pushy to stay and they called him to make me stay. He then goes to show a text from the doctor and I told him that is after to told me that you told me to stay at the hospital because I was willing to leave. He said I was being rude to the residents in which he was not there to witness that. I was polite to everyone even when were admitted. But once again he did not care and stuck by his people and yelled in my face. I did not deserve that behavior."
"Dr Eckstein was my pediatrician when I was younger. I brought my son to his office once he was born because I was confident in him and from a place of loyalty. It is sad that I will be breaking that loyalty because of his staff. Those women behind that counter in that office are rude, unapproachable, and nasty. Imagine getting a more welcoming feeling at a veterinarians office than a pediatrician. Anyway, I'm getting my son a new pediatrician and telling my sister to do the same. I'm sorry Dr Eckstein but I've had it with their (Why are you bothering me, I don't have time for you) disposition."
"Horrible experience tonight. My son is almost 13 years old and this is the only doctor's office he's ever known. That's about to change. My appointment for a routine vaccine was at 4pm. I get there with my son at 3:40pm. When I asked what was going on at 5:30pm, the front desk employee said, "We have a lot of patients." We are finally seen at 5:40pm. At 5:45pm, when we are all done, I ask for a form that will give permission for this office to send medical records to the next pediatrician I choose. I then tell the two front desk employees that a 1 hour and 40 minute wait is unacceptable. An older woman, whom I believe is Dr. Eckstein's wife, says to me, "It's okay. At least you got what you came for." I reply, "It's okay for you. Not for me, though." She goes on, "We have a lot of patients. It's okay." She was very rude. My son's mother has told me the same thing in the past about this woman, and we have a high school friend who used to work there who has had similar sentiments. No apology was ever offered. Just rude behavior. Looks like it's business as usual for this office. Dr. Eckstein is a good doctor and I think he's a good guy. He's always been that way. But he needs to seriously re-evaluate his business practices. This was a horrible experience. I would strongly recommend you looking elsewhere if you are looking for a pediatrician. That's what I'll be doing first thing in the morning."
"The manager is a rude person and very unprofessional, and Dr. Eckstein does nothing to prevent his patience from going through this. After a decade of going to his place, I had enough, so I switched my four kids to another pediatrician's office."
"Dr Eckstein is very knowledgeable, switched to Clove Lake Pediatrics in 2021, he is approved by the whole family for our kids. The office staff is friendly and nice, they always do their best to fit us in if kids are sick and doctor calls you as soon as test results are available. Even on weekends get call back from doctor on timely fashion. My toddler enjoys seating on kids table set when in the waiting area and I bring him cars to play with.. My little one smiles as soon as she sees Dr Eckstein and team!"
