"This is such a cute park. There's a medium size rock climbing wall which my kids love. Big kids swings on one side and baby swings on another. I like how the swings are separate to keep the age groups apart but still close. There are so many options of slides and climbing for school age and up on one side and a smaller version on the other side for the babies and toddlers that are still developing. The only thing that deters me from coming here too often is that there is no light or actual crosswalk on the intersection. You have cars coming from multiple directions and a button you can press. But there's no crossing sign that tells parents that it's safe to cross and their aren't lights in all directions to tell people to stop or even slow down. I hate crossing here. And worry that one day a car won't stop or look up. They really need to fix that interesting because it is so close to a park and I see older kids trying to cross here all the time."
"Nice little park with basketball courts AND a nice view of the lake across the street!"
"Nice park with a view of the pond across the street."
"Enjoyed the visit with the kids and family. We are going to be back in the morning and then whenever we're in need for some outside. It's a good time for all. We see the same people who are regular visitors like us. The park is a traditional playground mixed with a basketball court, benches, sandbox, climbing, digging, swings, gymnastics equipment, grass lots, some old shade tree, benches, tables, water fountains and of course the suburban required parking lot. There are designed handicapped parking spaces too. Although the suburban park is small by today's sprawling mega parks, this venue Harkins to the day of a more detailed and defined town with it's Main Street serving as it's hub, and this park is a very short walk from it. If you have young kids, they will enjoy the suburban park in the more compact form that has been going on for decades."
"Definitely better than it used to be! Lots of different areas to sit and read/hang out. Nice views of the "lake" across the street, with less mosquitos then if you sat right in front of it."
