"Had a horrible experience here with this provider. I delivered my last baby here with Dr. Gumnic and did not have any issues, but came here recently for my initial prenatal and had to reschedule from Dr. Gumnic to Dr. Walsh due to a work conflict. There were many downfalls to my husband and my experience this day. I received a call the day prior confirming my appointment. The office staff asked if I had gotten an ultrasound - I questioned why? (assuming that they performed the ultrasound at the first appt). She then said they should have given you me script to get one prior but it is OK. I then confirmed if Dr. Walsh would be performing the ultrasound at our visit and she put me on hold which I assumed was to ask this question. She came back on the phone and said "Ok, we will see you tomorrow then." I said..."So am I getting an ultrasound tomorrow or not?" and the office staff said that the doctor would definitely be doing one at my appt. The next day comes and we get to the office and check in for our 10:40am appt. They bring my husband and myself back. They questioned the ultrasound again and I said if I knew I had to get one prior I most definitely would have done so. They then told me the doctor would actually not be doing the ultrasound at office but they would call and find us a place to get one done and try their hardest for day of. Instead of an initial prenatal, I ended up getting my annual pap and exam done. Great and all, but we honestly did not take personal days off work for a annual pap. The staff got us in with university radiology in Neptune for a 12PM appt. We head over to university radiology and get there to find out that we were scheduled at the location in point pleasant. At this point we have been given the run around all morning. Thankfully enough, when I explained the situation university radiology did find a way to have me seen at the Neptune location. Shortly after I see the ultrasound report populate in mychart. Dr. Walsh did call me and state factual information but with NO explanation or what to expect. The news was sensitive and in my opinion, she could have taken more then a 1 minute phone call to tell me what was going and explain why (especially to a person who has only ever had healthy pregnancies). I felt left in the dark with no clue of where to go from here. The CMA did call and follow up and send me a script for a follow up ultrasound for a week later, but at this point I was traumatized from the series of stressful events the day brought ended by the super insensitive phone call from the doctor. Needless to say, the office is aware that I have switched providers and as sad as I am to leave Dr. Gumnic, this situation was more then enough to not second guess my decision to leave that practice. I hope that anyone else who has to endure news that is not the best does not have to deal with a Dr. like this! PS - also left a voicemail for the office manager, Gabby (I believe is her name) last Thursday evening and STILL almost a full 7 days later, not a response. Hopefully she is on vacation or something valid and not just too busy to get back to me."
"Very disappointed by Doctor Walsh. Tried to switch from my doctor in summit to a local doctor. I have dense breasts and mother with double breast cancer. I have had breast ultrasounds for twenty years. Doctor Walsh refused to order. I went back to my doctor in summit and overlook breast center and I scored high risk and it’s recommended to have breast mri."
"When Dr. Aikman retired a few years ago, I was apprehensive on who would be my new gynecologist. Dr. Walsh became my new one and I am very happy with her. She is kind and professional. The office staff are always nice also."
"If I could give 0 stars I would. This is not my obgyn but I received a call from Dr. Walsh because she was the on call doctor. I am in extreme pain and I’ve told Dr. Walsh nothing is working. She completely dismissed me and told me this was a line for emergencies only, not to discuss my periods and I need to call my ob when the office is open. How can you tell someone in extreme pain that this is not an emergency. Just horrible."
"Dr. Walsh delivered my son November 2021 and was absolutely phenomenal in the delivery room. I worked for HMH at the time and have recently switched to RWJ and although her office is tier 1 I will continue my care with her even if have to pay out of pocket. My husband and I say all the time that her attention to me during my delivery was exceptional. We are forever grateful for her. I can only hope she delivers my second child when we are ready again."
