"Dr. Asulin saved my life. He is caring, passionate about his patients care and takes his time to get to the root of your issues. He is extremely bright and well versed on all modern medicine. I highly recommend him to friends and anyone out there struggling with female related difficulties."
"I will always remember Dr.Asulin with gratitude and admiration. Over the last year I was seen by 2 surgeons, both from very reputable hospitals in NY, with the plan for hysterectomy due to a fast growing fibroid. Because of scheduling and insurance issues with those 2 hospitals, I had decided to see Dr.Asulin who was highly recommended by my friend and … I believe it probably had saved my life. The symptoms that I and doctors attributed to my fast growing fibroid were also caused by the end stage endometriosis and severe pelvic adhesive disease. To remove adhesions from organs and walls of abdominal cavity, most surgeons would go for a huge abdominal incision which of course implies a significant blood loss and prolonged recovery. Dr.Asulin did it via robotic laparoscopy leaving me with a few tiny scars. Here I am, 6 weeks later, going back to work in a few days. Once again, I am forever thankful to this amazing surgeon and his team at Pascack Valley Medical Center for what they have done for me. I try not to think about what could have happened if I went to another doctor."
"I was in so much pain after my surgery and the Dr dismissed me. Ended up in the hospital with a severe infection and abscesses where he performed the hysterectomy. I NEVER saw the dr again and there are no notes from the surgery. All of my doctors wanted the surgery notes but they kept giving out a printed summary of a "successful" hysterectomy. I went for my post-op and he wasn't there. The receptionist took me in a room and said she could do the post op..... When I asked her when I can take a bath again, she had no idea why it wasn't allowed. I was supposed to receive pelvic floor therapy with a special feedback wand which the dr bragged about when discussing after care. Each time I had an appointment for therapy I was told either the girl that performed it wasn't there or they still didn't have the instrument for me. They never called to cancel my appointment, I would show up and each time they would say it couldn't be done and to schedule another appointment. I had my hysterectomy in July and in December I still never saw the doctor again and never received my therapy. That was 5 years ago and I have been in even more pain ever since. I had Stage 4 endometriosis and a severely prolapsed uterus, which is why I had to have the hysterectomy. During one of my pre-op visits, I asked about taking out my ovaries and fixing my bladder, he casually said "if it becomes a problem, we'll go in and fix it." I found out after the surgery that he kept my ovaries in, despite my gyno insisting they come out because of the endometriosis and history of ovarian cysts. The endometriosis pain came back almost immediately and now I have a full pelvic organ prolapse (where your bladder and your colon prolapse and bulge out of your vagina). I have to wear a pessary, use catheters daily to empty my bladder, had a battery implanted in my lower back to control the pain (and taken out because it didn't work) and I take over 10 prescriptions just to make the pain bearable. The worst part, and the reason this has been going on for 5 years, no surgeon will take me as a patient because of him. He has a terrible reputation within medical community and no doctor wants to get involved with his patients. I can't even make an appointment after they find out dr asulin performed my hysterectomy. Each doctor tells me I have to go back to him since they can't find any records of my surgery and he doesn't like anyone treating any of HIS patients. Luckily I moved to NYC and no one even knows who he is. I'm in excellent care now and have surgery scheduled for next month. I really wish I had the experience he sold me on, but lesson learned."
