"GREAT VET AND ASSISTANT! My son brought home a beautiful black feral kitten from his factory. He brought Missy to three different vets which wanted to charge $75 to $125 to check her out plus vaccines. Each one of those vets and assistants couldn’t even touch her and were afraid. Not one of them did anything except literally just look at her. Each vet in Westfield, Kenilworth and Garwood wanted $100 to look at her, and $1000 more for shots, exams, and blood work to spay her. One vet looked at Missy while my son held her and the vet touched her belly and said she was pregnant and charged $25 for that! We waited two months to see if she would have kittens and she didn’t so she was never pregnant. People for Animals Hillside is always booked of course because they have reasonable prices. Missy was feral so they wanted to clip one of her ears. That’s OK if an animal is released but my son fell in love with her and decided to keep her. We searched for spay/neuter vets in NJ and found TLC Pet Doctor in Union. The first visit was an exam and shots for $95. We also needed the rabies vaccine so we paid extra for that. The vet came in with the assistant and took Missy right out of the cage! The assistant picked Missy up and held her in her arms … It was amazing! Missy only allows my son to touch her but the assistant was so calm and confident that the cat just sat there for her! The other vets and assistants were so nervous and unsure that they made the cat run around the room and they couldn’t touch her. After the exam and shots at TLC you can spay two weeks later. Two weeks later we brought Missy in for spay, microchip, and a nail clip. The spay was done that day and Missy healed up fine. I am so happy with their services, great service and reasonable pricing! UPDATE: 1/11/23 We found another kitten at our Myrtle Beach home and brought him back to NJ to be neutered by TLC. TLC Pet Doctor is the best Vet and the assistants are the best too! Carrot is doing great and already stopped spraying! Missy is doing great too. Thank you so very much TLC Pet Doctor!"

"I had gotten one of my male cats, Mitty fixed here. We dropped him off at 9am and thought it would take all day long so we left, but they called me at 9:30am to come pick him up nd I was there by 10am to get him. They were very fast and he's had no problems or complications from the process. We also are low income and they have a program for ppl in our situation to get him fixed for only $10. They also gave him his distemperment shot. If this place wasn't so far away id make TLC his permanent veterinarian. Thank you everyone there who helped me and Mitty that day.!!"
