"Waste of money. Paid for the whole year. Submitted 3 claims, one was approved and went towards deductible. Other two were denied due to ‘preexisting condition’ (which wasn’t). Appealed with the letter from a vet that the infection that occurred 2.5 years ago wasn’t related to current infection, they still declined. Well… insurance is canceled, talked to people who had it, same response - waste of money and no coverage whatsoever. 0 stars."
"Got Wishbone for my French Bulldog through my last company. Been a fairly positive experience. I haven’t had one claim denied and they’ve easily saved me $3,000 to $4,000 in unexpected medical bills. Biggest issue I’ve run into are that claims can take a while to process. Over the summer, I had couple small claims for routine vet stuff (shots and flea prevention) that took two to three months to process. I’d still use them, especially if you get a discount from your job."

"New customer here. After submitting my pet’s medical records, I called to discuss the request for vet records when I had already uploaded everything I had. A couple phone calls and emails with pleasant, helpful customer service reps, I was happy to have a resolution to the situation. The rep spoke to an underwriter and confirmed that what I had submitted was acceptable. Now on to the two separate claims I submitted for my dog’s heart worm test, medication (Nexgard & Heartgard) and his neutering procedure (I have the supplemental plan that covers these). This is actually an update to my previous post. I emailed and asked how long the claims would take, since the status of the first claim said “Submitted” for several days. Despite the Wishbone site stating, “Once your claim is filed, expect fast reimbursement via mailed check,” I was initially told it would be 35 business days before I received a decision. After voicing my disappointment with this long turn around time, I received word that my claims would be expedited. I am hoping to be reimbursed sometime in the next 2 weeks. Much more acceptable. I understand being understaffed, but waiting almost 2 months for a decision seemed unreasonable."
