"I really appreciate all of the metropolitan staff. Melissa and the maintenance crew are quick to respond and everyone is really friendly and welcoming. Upon move in our apartment was clean and in working order. Parking isn’t usually an issue but recently it has been hard to find a guest spot. I feel the general area is safe and the neighborhood has been really great so far."
"We have lived at Metropolitan Marlton 12+ years. Office management gets an A+ for keeping us informed of any pending issues or vendors that will be doing work on the property. The maintenance team gets an A+ for being experts at their craft. They always have a positive friendly smile and arrive shortly after a trouble ticket is submitted and fix the problem. In apartment washer/dryer and mail delivered to front door mail slot make it very convenient. MM is located within minutes of supermarkets, gas stations, restaurants, major highways. Shopping malls are a short drive away. Our doctors are also a short drive. Heads up for an additional apartment charge. You will be billed for monthly water/sewage approximately $70. Thank you to the entire Metropolitan Marlton Team!! We enjoy living here."
"I lived in this complex for two years. I agree with the previous review. The bathroom fan spins but doesn’t collect the moisture, it all sticks on the bathroom walls and collects buildup. The closet rods are painted over so it’s extremely hard to move your hangers. The dishwasher does not clean your dishes throughly. The apartments are not updated and honesty a bit overpriced. There are “some” pros! Management is great. They were always responsive. Parking is right in front of your unit. The people in the complex are very friendly! I would suggest looking at other complexes though before settling for the metropolitan."
"I am a previous tenant of Marlton Metropolitan and I am writing this review to make potential renters aware of everything that the Metropolitan does and doesn't offer to their residents. My experience at the Metropolitan was a mixed bag of enjoyable and absolutely frustrating. I rented the apartment sight unseen about two years ago, because it had been difficult finding housing available for the time slot that I needed and my deadline for housing was dire. That being said, I shouldn't have, so I will still be listing those issues below, but had I known and done a walk through, I wouldn't have signed the application. Please note my year of move out is in 2023. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, any appliance issues noted will probably have been replaced by then. I will also note that maintenance staff has always been professional and kind, as was Melissa, who is clearly doing her best, but honestly everyone seems horribly overworked and underpaid. I don't fault the issues below with the staff, its very clear they only have so much time per unit. I rented a two bedroom 850 square feet. Price was listed originally for 1750 online. The pros: -Parking is not an issue. -The neighborhood is safe. -Lots of old trees, and the neighborhood is pretty. -Maintenance is quick and always around if you need to flag someone down. -There is a pool. -Little back patio for table and chairs. -Washer and dryer in unit. -Buildings are made of brick, so even though route 70 is nearby you don't actually hear too much traffic. -climate control is really good. (heating/ac) The cons. -Upon move in rent was 1850. After 6 months they raised the rent once again to a grand total of 2,030. When you add in utilities you're looking at around 2,450. -Half the lights did not work and it was clear lightbulbs had not been checked before renting out the apartment. -There was NO electrical outlet in the bathroom. -There was a single fan in the bathroom for a vent. It spun, but did not work in getting rid of the moisture. This is very clearly something that staff knows about as it says IN the contract that you must wipe down your bathroom tub and shower after using it. The lady who moved me in that day also mentioned wiping down the walls. The reason for this is because within a month everything will turn to mold. -There is an insanely annoying blind in the living room that has about 30 verticals slats that cover the door leading outside. These slats either WONT move because they're not nestled correctly in the right order, or just straight up break when you try sliding it open. -As noted above this issue will most likely be fixed, but all of my appliances were absolutely garbage. The heating element on the dishwasher never got hot enough to actually clean the dishes. Upon move in I was told just “keep the soap flap open because it doesnt open during wash.” There was a crack in the microwave door. -The washer is big enough for a one person household. Dont try to wash comforters. They wont fit. -The garbage disposal was routinely clogging just on coffee grounds and eggshells. It eventually got to a point where I just bought a sink strainer and didn't use it. -Everything is carpeted except the bathroom and kitchen. I do not suggest this complex if you own animals. -They have a “bark park” for your pet. This is not a park. This is a small space surrounded by chain link fence and two benches. The inside of the apartment has more running room than the park. -I used the pool the first year I moved in, trying to make use of all the amenities offered to me. I do not care about bugs, this is however a common complaint among residents. By the second year I was there, the pool was open maybe a handful of times, or closed earlier than posted. -Lawn crew WILL show up, at 7:45, every two weeks, without fail. And they are loud -This complex has had a squirrel/rodent problem for a while it sounds like. Many other renters have told me about their own pest issues. You will be told that this complex is within market value for Marlton, but check other places first."
"Melissa's great, but that's the only good thing I can say about this community. So I saw a unit online and scheduled a tour the next day, tour was great, again, Melissa's great, but went online a couple of hours after the tour to fill out the application form and the price had gone up 8%. The unreliability and lack of transparency on their side made me cancel the application. The extra amenities' prices were not mentioned anywhere on the website either. Just a heads up for potential tenants."
