"First I want to say I was an alumni of PS 134 back in 1994. The School from then til now has dramatically changed. Principal Kim is a disgrace to The DOE.. He should not be a principal at all. My daughter graduated June 21, 2017 and the ceremony was terrible. Not only did the children not face their parents but the entire show was bogus. Principal Kim though thought it would be best to only show the face of his staff and hisself. The children remained In the pews the entire time and sang their songs facing an empty stage. I am outraged he and the staff at 134 should be reprimanded for thier terrible coordination and to provide an excuse for what they did with the graduation fees for such a pathetic ceremony.. no awards were given although they had a ceremony for it the day before to which none of the parents were informed about. And again noone was allowed to take pictures during the ceremony although I did. Becuz again how could they see their children. PS 134 NEEDS A MAKEOVER STARTING WITH PRINCIPAL KIM. I have reported it to the DOE as well. But the schools for children of color might not mean much to the DOE unless the parents speak out.."
"Many many years ago I went to this school. It was the best education experience I had living in the lower Eastside. There needs to be continued parent involvement so that students will have the best emotional foundation for lifetime. I grew up To be a healthy balanced person and dedicated health professional. Parent involvement is a Must to keep our educational systems vibrant and healthy for all students"
