"The Grand/Engel Investments are Racist, and to make matters worse they refuse to give back the Security and Deposit to tenants. When you are looking to rent an apartment with them in the beginning they will show you one face but it is all a façade, when it's time for them to return the Security and Deposit they start charging false amounts so that they don't have to return your full money. When my family moved out, Eric (one of the owners) falsely claimed that he had painted and repaired our apartment and the pictures he sent me belonged to another apartment, he lied about so many things that I ended up taking them to court in Elizabeth NJ. He also threatened to tarnish my reputation because he thought I was an illegal immigrant who didn't know my rights as a tenant. I won the case and to this date, September 2023 Engel Investments, LLC have not return my Security and Deposit, and we moved out of the apartment since November 2022."
