"I lived at 3 Acres from April 2022 - April 2023. I have very mixed feelings about the experience. To start, I had a great end unit on the second floor right next to the stairs and had almost 0 issues with the unit itself. However, I could hear the dog in the unit next to me as well as some recurring domestic disturbances down the hall. I also smelled marijuana in the hall, but it didn’t affect my unit, so I didn’t mind too much. Regarding the entire building — I didn’t really use the amenities, so can’t say much there. I did use the rooftop grills + sauna once each and those were an easy and fun experience. The fire alarms though. These went off so often and at the worst times I genuinely would be sitting in my apartment DREADING the next time they would go off… especially on days I worked from home and had meetings. The shuttle to JS was pretty reliable and easy to take. The commute was not ideal though because of the traffic to get to 3 Acres and back. The neighborhood is a bit scary and has a lot of traffic. Definitely drive around (in all directions) to get a feel. If you want to travel via the light rail, do it during the day only and best of luck with it arriving and leaving on time. Some helpful notes I discovered during my time there: 1. If you utilize the outdoor parking lot - do NOT buy your pass through 3 Acres. I think I paid $125 (which they raised for new tenants to $195) and I soon realized that the passes they gave us were just NJ Transit passes that you can buy from the ticket machine at the light rail station! I called NJ Transit Parking Services to confirm these were available and quickly removed my car from the lease. If I remember correctly, prices directly from the ticketing machine were less than $50 a month. I wonder if NJT knew the building was profiting off their lot - they could use the money to repair the asphalt and paint new spaces. 2. I took lengthy and exhaustive videos and photos of my unit when I moved in. Note: I was the first person to live in the unit. I then made a SHARED Google Drive folder that could only be VIEWED by external users and then shared that with both the 3 Acres Management as well as the company that manages 3 Acres. Then, when I moved out, I took videos and photos again and shared it in that folder (time/date stamps and all). I got my full security deposit back in a very timely manner. This place can be a hit or a miss and I enjoyed my time in the building, but not in the area. I never felt fully safe and getting anywhere (esp. into NYC or leaving JC) was always a hassle."
"Love it here and been here for 2.5 years. The ambience is great for me and my family and I don’t even have to leave the building to have a great time. Steve, who attends to the building, is quick to respond to any work orders I put in and goes up and beyond with things needed in my apartment. The people who work here as a whole do a great job from top to bottom. From the front desk, Sara, Gina, Humberto, employees at the bar and restaurant, even to the cleaning team. Again I can’t emphasize enough how happy Iam here."
"We recently hosted a pop up flower shop at 3 Acres in Jersey City. We worked with Gina and Sarah to organize this event, and they were so great to work with! They were both very professional and incredibly responsive, helping us coordinate all the logistics for us to have a successful event. It was such a pleasure to work with them, and we look forward to visiting 3 Acres again soon!"
"I've had the pleasure of calling 3Acres my home since January 2022, and I couldn't be happier. What truly sets this place apart is its incredible sense of community and the abundance of fun events happening all around the building. One of my favorite perks is the full access to the gym – it's been a game-changer for my fitness routine. And let's not forget the coffee shop and juice bar, which I absolutely adore. They've become my go-to spots for a quick pick-me-up. Now, let's talk about the rooftop – wow! The view of Manhattan is nothing short of epic. It's the perfect spot to unwind and take in the breathtaking scenery. Another fantastic feature is the free shuttle service to Journal Square, making commuting a breeze. Plus, having the light rail right across the street is incredibly convenient. In summary, I couldn't be more delighted to call 3Acres my home. It offers not just a place to live but a vibrant, welcoming community and a host of amenities that make everyday life a joy."
