"terrible, terrible management as sooo many reviews has already stated. they scam you for your security deposit, charged 650 $ for blind damage and doesn't even specified (what kind of blind damage will cost 650 anyway?). We leave the apartment in perfect condition and they still find ways to charge us ridiculous amount of money. Terrible management, terrible experience throughout our stay... avoid this place as all cost"
"LOOTING AT LAGUNA! WORST BUILDING! SAY BYE TO YOUR SECURITY DEPOSIT!!! PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! This IS NOT a luxury building - almost no amenities apart from a tiny gym - maintainence takes your food if left at the front door of your apartment - they try to barge in your apartment with no privacy even though you didn’t allow it - when you leave the apartment they will charge false cleaning charges - so high that you will be left with nothing to get back from security deposit. I was charged 2k+ from my security deposit which doesn’t make any sense. Can cleaning cost 2k? Other residents have also confirmed the same. Management is rude and very clever to make a fool out of you at all costs!!! They stole food outside my apartment without even having the courtesy to inform me and when I asked myself claimed that it is a hazard. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! DON’T PAY SO MUCH FOR SUCH A PATHETIC BUILDING!"
"Fabulos, considiring the location, or the view. This center surrounded with all necessities, mall, car rentals, restaurants, Public transportations etc... Proximity to Metro and Bus Hoboken station, Connecting you easily to NewYork City."
"I would not recommend moving here. My partner and I moved into Laguna 14 months ago. When the apartment came up for renewal a 2 months ago, the management hit us with a rent increase of 26%. We tried to negotiate, offering to stay longer in exchange for a lower rate, but they refused to talk to us, and so we moved. This building is also in a bad location; Newport as a neighborhood in general has very few amenities like parks, restaurants, libraries, or athletic fields. There is a small park across the street, but it's not even large enough to throw a frisbee. The central feature of Newport seems to be a shopping mall, which I'm not that excited about. We moved less than a mile north into Hoboken and are really happy with the new location, which is near Pier C park, Pier A park, Sinatra Park Soccer Field, and many restaurants, bakeries, and cafes. Some nice things are that the units in this building are modern (although some appliances e.g. the dishwasher are bad), there is a nice view from some units (although a lot of it is blocked by a parking garage), and it's relatively quiet (although there is trash collection every morning at around 6:30 AM and it WILL wake you up unless you wear earplugs every day). Overall, it's a meh place, and if you commit to moving here there's a good chance you'll be forced to move out a year later when they jack up your rent."
"NOT A LUXURY BUILDING! The apartments are old, hardwood flooring from the 90’s, as well as the appliances. However they still want to charge rent as if this was a luxury building. The gym equipments are outdated, missing parts, not cared nor cleaned. The pool table at the lounge is awful…All corner pockets are broken, the cue sticks are bent, the table is uneven and liner is ripped and worn out. There’s no intercom, so there’s no way for guests to be announced. Also, if the concierge is not at the front desk anyone can just come up. The new Senior property manager Elia is unresponsive and rude. Maintenance is a joke. The only great thing about this building is Julio and James that are always friendly and helpful"
