"Franklin Ave is a great place to live. Ridgewood us a wonderful town, and the walkable shopping offers anything you need. The building is well maintained and clean. The landscape is always fresh. The Super is amazing. Michael always calls back, and repairs are done in a timely manner with good workmanship. I had a sink replaced in -1 day, and a new microwave replaced in 2 days. Plumbers and Electricians are sent when needed. This is a great place to live."

"The rental process with Goldberg Realty was smooth and easy. There were no last-minute surprises, fees, or delays. I was able to view my apartment on the same day after speaking to them on the telephone. I met the maintenance man, Mike, who gave me a tour of the building's communal areas – laundry, trash, storage lockers—as well. I loved it and moved in. Goldberg post-pandemic offers touchless payments, service requests, and tenant support. Sara in the office responds the same day and will let you know if something may take longer to resolve. They have an elevated level of care for us renters. I moved into my apartment pre-pandemic like most after the earlier tenant left. My apartment was professionally cleaned and painted. I have the expectation unless the space has been completely renovated, there will be used appliances in decent shape. After about 3 months I noticed a change in my dishwasher. I called building maintenance, Mike, and he promptly set a time to assess it: within 15 minutes of my call he was at my door. That’s when I learned Mike was on-site; my neighbor on another floor. How wonderful to have maintenance in the building versus waiting for the office to send someone. The dishwasher was done and it was replaced in 3 days. Wow. In my other apartments I have waited up to 6 months to have an appliance replaced. In the years I have lived here, there has been no routine maintenance issue left waiting. Mike posts notices that the elevators are being serviced up to 2 days before and we receive emails from the office letting us know of outside, water shut offs, roof or other slightly intrusive maintenance. In the winter he is out there shoveling and salt spreading before the first plows hit the street. Mike sends out a text about every 3 months to see if things are okay in the apartment. I had an issue with my drains making some strange gurgling sounds – as did other apartments. Mike let us know the plumbers were on the way as he had the noise too. It was resolved in 2 days from the time I reported it. Mike is professional, knowledgeable, and truly a nice guy. He knows when there are things beyond his skill set and does not opt for the quick easy fix. My previous maintenance team loved shortcuts and almost caused my last apartment building to burn down (installed a ceiling fan in the lobby too powerful for the circuit). Mike is amicable and will tell me how long a fix will take versus that “I’ll get to it when I do” mentality. IF I want to change something I have no difficulty approaching him and asking. He sets up a massive tree in the lobby for the holidays and keeps the building's communal areas clean. Even during the pandemic, mask on face with me sitting in the lobby, Mike repaired a bathroom and then a window issue. Having lived here for 5 years I can honestly say Goldberg Realty is a pleasure to work with and Mike is a true gem. The building is a warm century old home with all the modern touches. I look forward to many more years here."
