"I have been living in this apartment complex for over 20 years and the recent change in management has turned what used to be a decent living space into a nightmare. Don't waste your time or money here. Their increases in rent are completely unjustified with the deteriorating level of service. Pest infestation: The previous management used to provide pest control treatments as a regular maintenance service. However, the new management has decided to make this optional only for people who want to pay for it. Since then the apartment has become a breeding ground for bugs and cockroaches. Despite maintaining a clean home, the noticeable increase in the number of pests is alarming. They don't care about their tenants: The indifference and lack of response from management is infuriating. Any attempt to contact them by phone or email is met with radio silence. If I try to go to the management office myself, they claim they'll send someone over to take care of the issue but no one ever shows up. They only respond to negative Google reviews to appear friendly and attentive but don't fall for it! Neglected property maintenance: Trash accumulates next to the dumpsters, creating an unsightly and unsanitary environment. Furniture has been left outside for weeks and management never does anything about it. In a recent storm, large branches and power lines fell across the parking lot and they're still there to this day. Management is completely indifferent. I strongly advise anyone considering moving here to think twice before subjecting themselves to the disappointment and frustration that comes with living in this poorly managed complex."
"The worst place you can do yourself is to rent in this place. Flooding all the time, increasing the rent pertaining increase in gas utility every month. Bunch of thieves and dishonest people. You pay the gas of other individuals including paying the gas of the leasing office. Do yourself a favor and search for a decent place because this place is just a trash."
"Rushmore Management. Will not answer e-mails. Do not maintain sanitary grounds, landscaping, or apartments. Do not respond to tenant issues. Will not provide documents detailing mandatory asset protection insurance. Leasing office manager attempts to make verbal deals that he refuses to put in writing that he renegs. Does not provide lease agreements in a timely manner in accordance with NJ law. Will not allow contact with decision makers beyond lease office manager, despite lease office manager stating he does not know how to resolve issues. Does not provide security, despite having signs indicating use of security cameras. Will not unlock doors if locked out. For people breaking their lease, the front office says they are only responsible for security deposit, yet continue to charge monthly fees with compounding late fees for as long as the apartment stays uninhabited. Do not spray for mosquitos in accordance with law. Charge for parking with reasoning that they will provide tenants individual spaces, yet have only given parking spaces to landlord and management (the most convenient spots). Edit: There are a few updates.. Management stores trailers full of building materials for this complex and others on the property blocking parking spaces and parts of the road.. There are nails and screws scattered throughout the parking lot (my neighbor has had three tire punctures in the last month) Since the time of this post, the office manager has changed. The new manager does not attempt backhanded deals; however, follows the same practice of not providing information on tenant issues nor providing contact for those who do. Will now unlock doors only if during office hours. (Mon through Fri until 6pm) for the outrageous price of $50. Edit 2: 4/28/23 Broken Glass and nails/screws strewn across parking lot for weeks. Do not manage trash pickup well - the bins are constantly overflowing into the parkinglot. There is an elderly handicap lady whos rail going up her front steps is wobbly. Management said they will fox it this time bit next time she has to pay for it. She did not damage the rail its probably been there for at least a decade. Upping rent by another 10% this year. Putting into rent contract that if you fall (they are notoriously bad at salting and removing ice) they are not liable. Edit 12/9/23 Well they finally moved the giant dumpsters that were taking up the parking spaces they also make us pay for, but no one cleaned after the removal. See some pictures of nails I found left behind in the parking lot below. The nails were in the middle of the spaces when I found them."
"I am extremely disappointed with the new management. They are extremely hard to get in touch with and it's almost impossible to get a maintenance worker to come fix issues. Over the winter, we had an issue with our door and contacted maintenance to come fix it. They kept saying they'll send someone over, but they never did. My fiancé and I called at least 10 times to remind them about our issue. Months later we finally got someone to look at our door and the worker said he wasn't going to do anything about it now because they were working on replacing all of the apartment doors. That NEVER happened. Not too long ago, there was a leak in our shower and same thing. We had to call many times to get someone to look at it. These aren't including the times we've had issues and weren't able to get anyone to come to our apartment. Not to mention they keep upping the cost of rent 10% every year! I understand that times are crazy and that's how all apartments are.. I just don't understand what I'm paying for if I can't even get a maintenance worker to fix our issues."
"Stay away. Before Rushmore took over, Partridge Run was a beautiful, quiet little complex with a pleasant crowd of decent, hardworking people. Ever since the change in management, this place has gone downhill. The smell of weed is potent and permeates everywhere. Tenants are free to scream, slam doors and throw around furniture during domestic disputes. Contacting management only proves to be an exercise in futility. Although it claims it will address your complaints and says it will keep you updated, nothing is actually ever done. It’s all lip service."
