Reviews
"This was the most detailed and most thorough autism testing that I have ever seen after having three boys on the spectrum. The expertise of the practitioner to be able to pick up on subtle things that others always miss and to be able to virtually dissect my child’s language skills and struggles in order to make the most accurate diagnosis was amazing. I will be recommending them to anyone who asks where to go for evaluations. I have not been with the developmental pediatrician long but she seemed extremely knowledgeable and gave a lot of great recommendations and advice. I have a clear picture between the two practitioners on how to help my child gain services."
"Dr laveman was very informative and took time to listen to concerns as well as made great suggestions for our daughter."
"Such a poor experience. It’s near impossible to get a hold of anyone. You have to leave multiple voicemails and send emails to even schedule an appointment. The office never answers or calls patients back. Scheduled an appointment 8 months ago and was rescheduled 3 times."
"The doctor was very knowledgeable and explained everything to me in a way I could understand. I would highly recommend NeurAbilities Healthcare to anyone looking for neurological or behavioral care."
"As a parent of a special needs child, I have learned the importance of keeping accurate records. Therefore, you can believe me when I say that this company's responsiveness is shockingly poor, and it is unbelievable to me that they have any remaining clients. In short, they don't return calls. They don't respond to email. They don't know where their files are. And they don't seem to care. In August of 2023, I filled out a 20-page intake form online in great detail. Then, upon meeting with the doctor (after a 45-minute wait), I had to answer every question again verbally while he slowly typed out each response. He then asked if I had my son's past reports. I told him that I had already uploaded them into their portal. He stated that he could not find them, so I emailed them to him at the address he gave me. On our second visit (after a 45-minute wait), he asked if I had sent the reports yet. I told him that I had uploaded them and emailed them to his work address. He still couldn't find them. So I sent them to his nurse and receptionist. The nurse confirmed that she received them. At our third meeting (after a 45-minute wait), he asked..... if I had sent the reports yet. And so on... These sorts of issues started in August of 2023 and have continued into January of 2024. In November, our lawyer mailed a form that needed the doctor's signature. Neurabilties did not return it to the lawyer - or respond to my phone calls - or emails. In desperation, I drove to their Wall office to deliver another copy of it in person and explain the importance of getting it signed. I've followed up. Called. Emailed. And yet, 2 months later, nothing. On the rare occasion that I was able to get through to someone on the phone, an employee admitted that they were understaffed, undertrained, and poorly managed. But even in the busiest times in my job, I have always managed to return an email with a "yes or no" or a "I will be in touch soon." Being ignored while seeking assistance for my special needs child is both cruel and insensitive. If Neurabilities had decided not to continue with my son as a client, I wish they had told me, so I could move forward. The lengthy time investment has made it overwhelming to restart the process, which is why I stayed as long as I did. Meanwhile, my son is missing out on crucial services. Starting over means it will be delayed another six months as I initiate the process with a new psychologist. If you are reaching out to this company for an appointment, it is likely that you or someone you care about is going through a mental health crisis. My goal is to spare you from the added stress and burden of pleading for a report, signed form, or response. Instead, I hope you can focus your energy on self-care or supporting your loved one without the frustration of begging for these necessary documents or replies."
