"Terrible school, teachers are so rude, staff don’t know how to help kids. DONT SEND YOUR KIDS HERE. Send them to ps.53 two blocks away from the school"
"Most of the staff are despicably rude. Whenever I visit the school I say "hello" and get nothing but dirty looks, as if I've just intruded on their conversations. Can't stand the principal. She's inaccessible and clearly plays favorites with parents. When there's real issues to deal with she shields herself with her AP and Parent Coordinator. Disgusting. The Parent Coordinator is a different monstrosity altogether. She can't be bothered either. She can't even look you in the eye when you are expressing concerns, and she can't wait to get away from you. Many of the teachers are old warhorses who need to retire, or too new and inexperienced. Seems like a lot of nepotism goes on with staffing as well- too many people are related. I've been stuck with this school for nearly ten years and I CAN'T WAIT until my youngest is finished. I've had a few serious issues over the years with my other children and there has been gross mishandling on behalf of the leadership here. There is a very cliquey vibe with some of the parents and staff. So unless you are upper crust, drive an Escalade, wear a Dorito tan, and make at least 6 figures... stay far away from this school."
"Top nnotch staff full of respect and love for their fellow peers and students makes for a darling place to yeah!"
"I once taught at P.S.8 and retired in 1988. It was a wonderful school then and I guess it is still a wonderful school."
