CityMD Long Island City Urgent Care - Queens 25-18 Queens Plaza South, Queens, New York 11101,

"I was dropped off at this location from a friend around 3pm on 12/17/2023 after a 4.5hour care ride following a weekend trip. I was in rough shape, could barely talk from coughing my lungs out and slept in pools of sweat the last 2 nights so a doctor was destination #1when arriving back in NY from VT. Upon arrival, exhausted but feeling relieved I was going to get the medical care I desperately needed, I was told there was an hour wait. Fine, I’m not the only person in the world, I was told I need to wait or go elsewhere. I chose elsewhere, but asked to use their bathroom before leaving because understandably after such a long ride I needed to use some facilities. I was told I can’t use the bathroom unless I’m a paying customer. What I didn’t mention was I’ve been to cityMD many times - even been to that location before - so to be shown zero compassion for a former customer whose in visibly bad shape to simply use their bathroom is beyond me. This location is missing the human touch, I’ll go elsewhere moving forward, hope anyone else doesn’t have a similar experience."

"They were great and compassionate. They saw me very fast I had asthma and I was able to pickup my prescription and be home within and hour. Their front desk staff Anthony was very attentive and fast with the intake. The Doctor was amazing and had me well and running in the first 5 minutes of me been there. It's a great place to go if you are having asthma or any other urgent health conditions."

"I went there for my immunization records requested by my school. Overall experience is 10/10 because everyone who was in the process was very considerate and willing to make this complicated case easier for me. Given that the lab results came out for different time periods, I had to go in for multiple times, but each time the doctors and staff were super friendly and helpful! I’m glad to have this place in the neighborhood I lived in :)"

"Super friendly staff and overall a very pleasant urgent care experience. It can get quite busy, especially with COVID testing, but I walked in on a Friday afternoon for a non-COVID related issue and only had to wait 20-30 minutes before being shown into an exam room. The attentiveness and patient-focus was top notch - I discussed my issue first with the nurse, then with the physician’s assistant, and then finally with Dr. Klokeid (with the nurse and physician’s assistant still in the exam room). Dr. Klokeid (and his staff) was very personable, knowledgeable, and answered every single one of my questions (of which there were many) calmly and clearly - ensuring that I fully understood his diagnosis and put my mind at ease. I went to UMD by Vernon Blvd. in Long Island City a bit earlier in the day and got the worst treatment (see my review on them) and came to CityMD for a second opinion due to my being rushed out of UMD just so they could churn more patients and bring in more money. If you’re in need of urgent care, I HIGHLY recommend going to CityMD in LIC. They provide the kind of care and personal attention that’s required to be given to people who come to them with a medically urgent condition and are looking for answers."
