"Small, well appointed facility, excellently run by Dr. Puja Desai and colleagues. Dr. Desai has been my physical therapist, on and off, for almost two years. I was first referred to Dr. Desai with complications in my knee due to arthritis and multiple problems caused from a fall. I found Puja to be extremely knowledgeable, professional, and personable. She not only developed challenging, effective, physical therapy routines but took the time to explain how the exercises impacted the particular joint or muscle group that were being addressed. That approach empowered me to be proactive in my treatment as I could apply these tools on my own. I also love that the facility is located within the JCC gym making it very convenient to segue way to extended training and aftercare. In fact, their approach dovetails seamlessly and they often work together to customize the most effective treatment plan for the patient. Puja wants the patient to understand why she is prescribing certain activities and encourages the patient to contact her with questions or concerns between visits.
