"We get a specific room each time.we love it. The staff is very accommodating."
"My stay at The Tramcar Motel! LONG READ! A week long vacation from hell. Upon arrival my daughter cut her foot on the broken tile at the entry way to our room but it doesn’t stop there. Our room was roughly 20 x 10 with a queen bed, a bunk bed, couch, table with two chairs , two drawer dresser with tv, mini fridge, large oven, and kitchenette. Before booking the room I called to ensure we could get a space that would work for our large family as we needed a space for a pack and play and multiple beds for the kids! 2 adults, and 4 small children with a week long stay of belongings as you can imagine did not fit! The bunk beds provided in which to sleep the kids had a top bunk that was completely unusable as the railing was not attached properly and was missing several bolts. If these issues weren’t enough let me keep going. Every night without fail an outrageous amount of ants would exit my kitchen sink drain and make their way to any and everything on my counters and in my cabinets. In order to save my children’s innocence we did not cause a stink we simply did not use the kitchen at all keeping our food, drinks, and clothes high off the ground, and in their cases. You may be asking why did you not go to the office, switch rooms, ect, WELL we advised management of the horrendous ant issue and we’re told the exterminate will be there Friday (the last night of our stay). We then went to the office a second time with an ant complaint and were met with a bleach solution to spray down the sink….this did not work! With one last recurring issue our mini fridge went out. This fridge was plugged into a surge protector that was plugged into another surge protector. Management came in and took the extra surge strip out and it kicked back on. 20 minutes later it kicked again this time just the fridge while the strip had the tv plugged in with no power issues. This complaint was met with hostility stating we must have dropped something on it to kill the power and that we had all kinds of food under the fridge (resses puffs that during the first visit for the fridge he accidentally dropped our box of cereal). There is one handle and one ladder into the pool both of which came apart during our stay, the trash can on the second story overfilled by Wednesday and was not changed as of checkout Saturday and who knows what else as we watched three families with complaints leave abruptly throughout the week. Four families at this motel were apart of our group. My brother on his final night lost all power to his room and had to switch rooms at 11:30 pm. My friends room was also infested by ants in her bathroom sink and shower. She also ran into an issue when she asked for a turn down service that was never provided so she went into the supply room and made her beds as well as retrieve her own broom on a separate occasion. The unlocked supply room is no stranger to any of us as when we needed towels, thrash bags, sheets that is where we ourselves received the “amenities”. Lastly Nana’s room had one of many soft spots on the second floor in front of her sink and an outdated AC unit that was not keeping the room desirable. This motel has a great location and the name itself can sell, however as with talking with the owner and seeing the work that he has already put in since he purchased in April I do believe it is NOT ready for an enjoyable stay and should be fully renovated for the SAFETY and CARE for future guests. UPDATE: Since this posting the owner has laugh reacted every person who has shown us concern (thank you all) and has even gone as far as lying about us request 2 extra complimentary days when we specifically told him we DID NOT want to stay any longer but was hoping for at very least a 2 day refund because of the conditions. Please continue to share as he even has gone as far to screenshot a photo from my vacation of my 1 year old child to better “his case” stating we are liars."
