"This was our first time using the campground with our 33ft RV trailer. Everything was simple and easy from check in to departure. We spent two weeks in mid July. Campsite was wooded with lots of room to setup. Restrooms, showers and pool area was well maintained and very quiet except when your pet walks by another and they are saying hello to each other. Campground is only 10 minutes from OCNJ. We will be booking again for our 2 week vaca next year very shortly. There is even a restaurant up at the pool area where you can breakfast, lunch or dinner. we had chicken fingers, fries, cheese steak and burgers-- good food Don"
"The campground is nice. We were upset at the fact that they charged guest even if they were just going for an hour $15.00 .I could see if it was for the day, and you can use the amenities, but I'm handicap & can't do much. There weren't any night activities , nothing going on at all. It is more like a resort living community now. Sad. We used to love it there. After this happens, not going back and not recommending anyone else. This isn't the kind of review I like to leave, but it's facts. This was our experience anyway .JS I wanted to just go see my gf & her husband, who is new to camping. They still charged each of us$15.00, and it was $75.00 for a night worth a camper. Sad , so many new owners of the campground are not taking care of their customers .I couldn't believe they wouldn't bend. We won't be going back ."
"Stayed here a few years back and this place is NOT for tent campers, although they have a few sites. First thing I noticed when pitching our tent was a dirty diaper up against the fence on our site. Also, the sites are extremely close to one another, so if you're looking for a real camping experience or any quiet, this isn't the place. They also charge money to use the showers, which is kind of ridiculous. Learn from me and stay at a state park for a fraction of the price and enjoy peace and quiet, and free showers, too!"
"During our last visit firepits weren't allowed to be on . Like come on! it just messed up the whole purpose of camping .We should had been informed when we called to book the cabin. When we arrived to our cabin they were in the process of putting up a new grill so we couldn't grill . When we entered our cabin the curtains were on top of the bed. The game room was a mess there is nothing updated. The location is great just because it's near wildwoods boardwalk ."
"This campground is great by itself, but it's proximity to Ocean City makes it our favorite campground ever. Take the 34th street bridge and it's a 10 minute drive to the beach or 15 minute drive to the boardwalk. The campground feels tucked away and quiet with its wooded setting. After a day at the beach, it feels as if you are in the mountains only minutes later. And even though it feels isolated, there's a grocery store, convenience store, gas stations, and a pharmacy only minutes down the road without even having to drive across the bridge into town. Your first impressions may be that the sign out front, the buildings, and the amenities buildings are a bit dated however they are impeccably maintained by their incredible staff. Every interaction with the staff was polite, professional, and warm. They truly have a sense of pride in their campground and it shows. The campground is very wooded and it can be challenging maneuvering your rig through it however the staff is willing to help you get your camper into its spot. I've seen very large 5th wheels there so it's not impossible. Every site is kept immaculate. Their crews clean and rake every site after someone checks out and they collect trash from every site daily so you don't have to drag it to a dumpster. We had a picnic bench collapse on us and they were there in under an hour to replace it. Most of the campground is seasonal and consists of mostly park models that are well maintained and tastefully decorated. It's a great place to take the dog or the kids for a walk at night because most have decorative lighting and it feels like you're walking through a quaint little village. The pool is quite popular and has lifeguards. Although we haven't used it yet, it seems nice and maintained and there is a snack bar/restaurant attached. There is a large playground and dog park. Plenty of dog waste cans around the campground with bag dispensers. Never had a bad experience with neighbors and everyone seems to stay relatively quiet and respectful of other campers. Overall I can't recommend this campground enough and it's a perfect place to stay on its own and especially if you like Ocean City. Plus it's 1/4 of the price of staying in town. This year we rented a condo in town with the whole family for a week and we missed Whippoorwill so much that we went down the next month for a 4 day weekend. Nothing beats coming back to your own camper with your own bed and sitting out by the fire at night after a day on the beach or strolling the boardwalk."
