"The best budget hotel. Friendly staff, very polite and quiet. Security card locks that also lock from inside, comfy kingsize beds, very clean rooms that were cleaned everyday by the hotel staff , very close to 2 metro stations, warm water the whole day, working wifi on all rooms , Overall one of the best choices !"
"This is no bang for the buck. The room was small and dirty. Outside it is always noisy. The Lobby and floors are dirty and you don't feel well touching things. If you plan to stay here to explore New York, you will find better places for similar money. You need a drive or train to get to the tourists spots in New York. In the evening you can walk around and feel the street life of the people living there. Interesting to see, but nothing to fill a nice evening with. Just a few places around the hotel to eat or discover. The parks around it are nice."
"When we entered the room, we came across a small insect something like a cockroach in the bathroom. We were given a room in the basement. The towels and bedsheets were dirty and we found hairs on them. It's decent compared to hotels in Manhattan but not a good choice on the whole."
"I booked a non-refundable hotel room for my colleague. However, our travel desk had also booked a room for them. I immediately called the hotel to request a cancellation, but the owner refused. I believe the owner is greedy and is trying to make money without providing any service. I would advise others to avoid this hotel and its unethical owner."
"Prior to staying at the King Hotel I checked amenities and what was offered on line was not offered at all. No coffee, no breakfast not even a place to eat in the hotel. No alarm clock. Not even a cup was provided. The microwave wasn't even plugged in. When first walking in customer service was rude. The floors were extremely dusty, the bathroom floor was dirty, as I wiped some water of the floor the towel was black. As of the bedsheets there was holes on the fitted and flat sheet and the pillow case were dingy white. The shower floor was filled with built in build soap residue. I saw several people in and out of the hotel as if it's a quick butty call, and seemed as if sheltering families. Parking is very hard to get in the area and only 5 spots are offered and it's on a first come first serve bases."
