"The lady who did my blood work was super nice. Her name was Julia and she was awesome. I have a fear of needles and she helped me by keeping my mind off of it. Since I graduated high school she kept my mind off the needle by asking me what I wanted to go into when I go into college. I said that I did want to go into the health department and become a respiratory therapist but Covid kept me away from that idea. She said that I should not let that stop me and I should do what I love. I loved how she wanted me to not give up what I wanted to go into and she was so good with putting the needle in. Highly recommend her. ❤️❤️❤️"
"My wife went to take blood today 20 vials. Her technician was Debbie, an older woman in her 60s approximately, blonde middle length hair. Upon reading my wife's blood order she made a comment about how much blood this was to take. As soon as she inserted the needle into my wife's arm my wife had a tremendous amount of pain of sharp shooting from her elbow down her arm into her wrist. Debbie did not use a butterfly which is extremely helpful when taking multiple vials of blood. As Debbie was taking the blood my wife was in a decent amount of pain and felt everything, the blood was not coming out at a proper speed so Debbie asked for assistance from another technician. Another technician who we do not know her name but deserves a great amount of recognition, came over and my wife stated that she saw some worry in her face. The new technician removed the needle from my wife's arm and went over to her other arm. The new technician used a butterfly and the process was pain-free and smooth. The new technician apologized to my wife and handed her a business card and hinted that this is not the first time that Debbie has had some major issues. When my wife got home she told me the story. Her entire arm is swollen, and it looks like there's a golf ball underneath her arm where her elbow is and is black and blue. When she extends her arm down she gets a sharp shooting pain down her arm with a throbbing consistently. The new technician I was able to reach over the phone after a description my wife gave me. She was kind and will be checking on my wife in a couple hours via phone. She recommended to use heat and ice every 15 minutes. The technician Debbie has no business taking blood, or needs to go back to school to improve her skills. No patient should have to go through what my wife went through to give blood. This review is solely based on upon the experience with this one technician. I personally go to this location every 6 months and take about 35 vials of blood and my experience so far has been great."
"Very good location. All members of the staff were kind, compassionate and efficient. I have been to 2 other locations this week and this office was hands down a night and day difference. I will be driving out of my way to come here from now on."
"I had an 8 am appointment for a COC employment drug screen & bloodwork on 8/15/23. The young lady in the front promptly assisted me and checked me into the system. A man named Ray drew my blood. Ray was very patient, compassionate, detailed oriented, & precise. I tend to have rolling veins & without any issues successful drew my blood in one shot. No digging, fishing, or having to go for a second stick. If I could recommend anything from this place it would be to ask Ray to be the phlebotomist assisting you for the day. Ray & the young lady in the front that checked me in are the sole reason for my positive star review. After Ray drew my blood, I asked if he knew how much longer I would have to wait to give my urine sample. He expressed to me that only one woman there (Nancy) handled COC’s and drug screenings. This is extremely surprising to me because as a former PST employee from labcorp we all were cross trained to be able to do drug screenings. It is important to note from the time that I checked in up until the time that Nancy actually helped me she sat in the same chair in the front not checking in patients, not drawing blood, not doing drug screens, & not entering patients into the system. I jokingly expressed how bad I had to use the bathroom because I skipped my morning void in order to ensure that I was successful at voiding for this particular test. Nancy proceeded to point down the hall and say “you can wait for me there.” I assumed this was in-front of drug screening bathroom. I waited for about 8 minutes in-front of the bathroom until another woman named Farrah told me I couldn’t wait there and had to go to the comfort care waiting room. I expressed to Farrah that I really had to use the restroom & I wasn’t trying to be a pain but after 4 children holding my bladder is not the easiest task & I did not use the restroom this morning. The comfort care room & front end room share a wall. Since I could hear Nancy saying “she’s going to have to wait,” with an attitude, I think it is fair to assume that she could hear me. For anyone curious to know if you do not void enough into the cup to reach a certain line then they dump your sample and you have to wait until you have to void again. If you do not void again then the test is considered inconclusive & your employer will be notified. This could potentially hinder you from your future employment. After waiting in comfort care room over a period of time I walked to the front window to respectfully ask Nancy how much longer. To my surprise she was refilling staples in the stapler & doodling on a blue sticky note. Pretty much purposefully ensuring that I wait. Abusing her authority & power because she was the only one with the training to be able to do my test. Which as a former PST that did plenty and many of COC & DOT‘s at labcorp she failed to follow the proper policies/ protocols in place. She tossed the blue sticky note pad in my direction & proceeded to tell me to write down my social and phone number. After writing it down she WALKED AWAY with my social & phone number & entered my information into the computer making me wait in the front. After waiting an additional 5 mins (doesn’t take that long to pull people up in the system & drop a blue tablet into the toilet) she waves me down to come to the back. After completing my urine sample she has me initial all the stickers on the sheet & places it on the cup and place the cup into the biohazard bag, crushes up the blue sticky note with my social/phone number on it into a glove, while proceeding to rip off her glove. I asked her for the sticky note back because it had my social on it and she rolled her eyes and handed it over to me and says you are good to go. I never watched her place the final sticker on the biohazard bag to ensure that everything was properly sealed. I’m not worried about it, however, it just goes to show that their only PST trained on COC and DOT’s is not entirely trained correctly & lacks good customer support & care. I did not leave until 9:02"
"Hands down best Labcorp anywhere! Every employee in the office is top notch! I have my favorite and she knows who she is when she sees my name on the review ( wink wink). But they are all kind and compassionate. Even when the waiting room is overflowing, they are kind to everyone. And in all honesty, if you have an issue with this office, it’s definitely you! One day they were very understaffed and the place was packed, and of course everyone was whining instead of being kind to the staff that was there. Yet they still handled it with grace under pressure. Unfortunately I have to have blood work often and will never go anywhere else."
